Panda Garden Buffet — Restaurant in Huron

The owner is so nice I'm a regular here they always goes above and beyond to give excellent service with a great staff and has really made this place better than last owners Update just went back 7/3/2024 ordered beef with Chinese vegetables mistake was my fault supposed to be with mixed Chinese vegetables The owner corrected my mistake not hers and remade my order and I tell you this it is honestly the best I've ever eaten in all 48 states Beef with mixed Chinese vegetables fried rice and egg roll it was phenomenal I offered to pay her for the additional remake she refused what a gracious host her hospitality is boundless I can't say enough if your coming through Huron SD eat here order off menu or the buffet it's well worth the stop The service is excellent Note they are closed Tuesdays good people that take great care of their customers update went 9/25 24 went today to get my beef with mixed Chinese vegetables yeah not good Green pepper onion carrots that's it wtf happened didn't eat it tasted burnt and veggies that it had were raw hard as stones cost me 25$ to have two plates of uneaten food I don't get it what happened the pictures above were from the time before this and that was so good I wish they would be consistent Will be going to the Thai restaurant next Maybe I'll find a new spot to spend my money We will see the panda has a decent buffet But they have cut back the selection and what it offers never changes like most places It's pork with broccoli pepper beef and some seafood thing and it never changes Recently the removed the garlic chicken and general tsaos chicken and replaced that with some green beans and a potatoes thing with Cheese they really need more variety cashew chicken maybe beef with veggies...

As something you may know I travel the country the same Chinese dishes in restaurants Coast to Coast. One of my rules is if one or any of the following words are in the name of the restaurant it's highly unlikely it's going to be very good and those words are King Garden Panda Dragon pagoda Etc well tonight's offering add to the words in it however it beat all expectations Moo goo gai pan, hot and sour soup, egg foo young, and sometimes chow mein. I will start with the hot and sour soup. It was very good compared to 90% of the ones I have tried across America. However I think it could have used a little more vinegar for the sour taste and it used button mushrooms instead of tree fungus which is the proper fungus for this soup. Number to the egg rolls were really good if you like garlic and have a great garlic flavor. The moo goo gai pan had tons of button mushrooms which is correct however it was missing any carrots celery or any other greens but the flavor was dead on. The egg foo young what is very well done and the young lady gave me a discount on it as it was not a menu item. By the way here is a good point to add that the staff are super friendly and super kind and very generous. The lo mein noodles we're authentic and had proper spicing. When outside of the West Coast do you have to have lo mein instead of chow mein because even though the word meon means noodle in most places you get a very crispy noodle shaped cracker which is not chow mein in any form. All together without being a West Coast Chinese restaurant it's better than most in the middle of...

This was a pretty decent place I thought. It's your traditional china buffet type of place and somethings were better than others but you shouldn't have a problem finding enough to stuff yourself. Did think food was a little cold on buffet and almost think warmers needed to be turned up. I thought best part of this place was the serve yourself ice cream you scooped from pale(delicious). Service was friendly and place was pretty neat and clean. The final bonus was the price I thought considering 2 of us got stuffed for what it costs 1 person...
