The Plains — Restaurant in Huron

I hate to be negative about a local business In my town but the food was barely warm fries cold there was some beer cheese soup on the salad bar that tasted more like Big Mac sauce than soup I had the Tuscan chicken sandwich It was ok and I'll say this the bun was good and the fresh peppers and onions on it were excellent But the chicken was dry however the flavor wasn't bad and it was a good size sandwich The salad bar was ok the macaroni salad was I think past it's date everything else was good though especially the cubed ham and the eggs For the salad the dressing options were reasonable and were very good flavored Quality dressings I'm going to try this place again to see if this was a fluke day Because I ate here a lot back about 7 years ago and it was really good so either the owner quit caring about the restaurant side or it was an off day hope it was just an off day because I really Think having a good diner in town is important As it's the only one and every community needs a place to gather and enjoy a good meal I'll update you next time I go here I hope it gets better at least the service is good and...

Truthfully, I hate dissing places that I’ve ate at for years but the service has gone downhill, the food has, atmosphere in general and it’s been getting ridiculously expensive. sat here for an hour when it wasn’t busy, no drinks were brought out, our order was taken and others complained of cold food and undercooked food such as hash browns n sausage / meats. One of the few places in town to get a nice diner breakfast. However, the food is great and the management has done great to improve the building over the years of the current ownership. Good omelets, skillets, classic combos, and build your own options. Brunch, lunch, and dinner are excellent for this style of food.
