We just got back from a long hike at Zion and discovered this amazing gem on our way home - Desert Smoothie in Hurricane! After hours of hiking, I was craving something refreshing and “The Green One” was absolutely perfect.

Don’t let the green color scare you - this smoothie had a delicious tropical vibe from the pineapple and banana base, that made it incredibly refreshing rather than “healthy tasting.” I loaded it up with add-ons: coconut whipped cream, plant protein, hemp seeds, ashwagandha, blue spirulina, probiotic yogurt, and collagen - which made it the perfect post-hike recovery drink. The base price for a small was $7.50, and with my add-ons it came to around $10 - totally reasonable for the quality and size.

The woman working was super friendly and even offered samples, which really helped me decide. They have a great selection with lots of free add-ons available (like the hemp seeds, ashwagandha, blue spirulina, and coconut whipped cream!) plus reasonably priced extras. The whole setup is adorable - it’s run out of a really nice trailer that creates such a cute, welcoming atmosphere.

Location-wise, it’s perfectly situated next to a popular shaved ice place and Hurricane’s most highly rated wood-fired pizza place, making it an ideal stop for refueling after a day at Zion.

Definitely recommend stopping here after hiking - it’s exactly what tired...

Absolutely a must stop, sip and savor!!! Sometimes the best experiences are easily missed - I cannot recommend this enough so don’t drive past this little desert gem. My husband and I stopped in between our drive through from Hurricane - Virgin - Springdale. I used to work at a smoothie shop when I was growing up and have never lost the love for a delicious cold smoothie, this is especially true when we’re on vacation and want a healthy mid-day hunger fix. Seeing the signs for a Prickly Pear smoothie was all we needed for stop in to see Nick (the owner)!!! Unfortunately he was already sold out of the Prickly Pear but his fresh juice shots, especially the tastebuds kicking ginger - were very fresh & excellent, plus his customer service exceeded all expectations. So the next day when we finished out ATV tour - we had to pull over again to say “Hello” to our new friend & finally get our hands on some delicious Prickly Pear smoothies. And let me just say…. YASSSSS they were absolutely worth the wait!!! Dairy Free, Made With Love, Fresh As Can Be, Beyond Satisfying. Make this little stop a must do on...

We were on our way out of Zion National Park and saw this smoothie cart on the side of the road. We wanted to try something Prickly Pear as we had learned about them during our trip. So we got a Prickly Pear and a Fruit Punch Smoothie, both were very tasty but I have to say, the fella making the smoothie offered me a sample of the Green one and OMG, so delicious. He said it was the best one they made, in his opinion, and I would have to agree! I'd go back for that one anytime! He was also very friendly, our smoothies were made extremely fast, and it seemed they offered fresh salsa (a fella ahead of me took some with him)! With how fresh and delicious the smoothies were, I'd try their salsa as well, for sure! We got one large and one small and honestly, the large is like really big, definitely sharable!!! It was made with all fruit, no ice! So they packed a...

Amazing prickly pear smoothie and an even kinder owner. I'm pretty sure he saved me from passing out of dehydration. I was cycling in the area when I ran out of water in the 100+ degree dry-heat. I was beginning to feel sleepy and delirious. That's when I spotted the sign: Desert Smoothie 1 mile. I remember thinking about asking him for water when he handed me 2 cold bottles of water as I approached. I hadn't even asked at this point but he wanted to make sure I was okay first before taking my order. The smoothie I received was truly refreshing; it wasn't very sweet (which was nice!) and was reminiscent of acai bowls. I wish I could've tipped him but I wasn't carrying any cash at the time and he didn't even have one of those tablet pads that gave you the option to tip! :( Thank you, friendly Desert Smoothie owner, I hope to swing by again when I pass the area!

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Desert Smoothie isn’t just a drink — it’s joy in a cup. There’s something really special about this place. Every time I get a smoothie from Desert Smoothie, I know it’s made with love, care, and intention. The green one is my personal favorite — it’s like sunshine and health blended into the perfect drink. But what really makes it shine is Nick. He’s the heart of this business — kind, hardworking, and full of good energy. You can feel it in everything he does, from the way he talks to customers to the way he crafts each smoothie with pride. Supporting Desert Smoothie means supporting someone who truly pours his heart into what he does. If you spot the truck, don’t walk — run. Your taste buds (and your day) will thank you. 💚🍍✨
