Lan Thai — Restaurant in Hutto

Lan Thai is a hidden gem that my wife and I are so glad we discovered! This food truck, which opened just a couple of months ago, serves up some of the most delicious Thai food we’ve had in a while. Every dish we tried was packed with authentic flavors, leaving us eager to return for more.

The ambiance is perfect for the experience. The traditional Asian vibe combined with the cozy outdoor seating area makes for a welcoming atmosphere. We especially appreciated the heaters, which kept us comfortable even on a chilly evening.

The prices are mostly reasonable, making it an excellent value for the quality of the food. That said, the $2.50 charge for a can of soda felt a bit steep, but this small detail doesn’t overshadow how great everything else was. The food itself is definitely worth every penny.

Lastly, the employees were fantastic! Not only were they amazing cooks who clearly take pride in their craft, but they were also incredibly friendly and easy to chat with, adding a personal touch to the dining experience.

Lan Thai is an absolute must-try for anyone in the area. My wife and I can’t wait to go back! Five stars all the way.

I am pleasantly surprised to find this place - as I think this area has missed the mark on international cuisine. This is a food truck. Ordered the Panag Curry / amazing great flavor - spice level true to stars. Def a two serving meal. Although very disappointing in the serving size of included rice received. Was less than a half cup? Ended up having to make rice just for me and one serving. They don’t have an option on take out for a side of white rice either. I also ordered the spring rolls. Peanut sauce was great - I think they were missing some items inside though (beans sprouts, basil or fresh herbs). Pineapple fried rice had nice curry flavor and big chunks of pineapple. Was steaming hot! Again, portion size was not entree size 1/2 size rectangular take out container: caveat, from Seattle so basing review on what I know of before...

We recently had dinner at Lan Thai and it was a wonderful experience. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced — you can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into each dish. The portion sizes were generous, and everything from the curries to the noodles had that authentic homemade taste you don’t often find outside of Thailand. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with attentive service that made us feel welcomed from the moment we walked in. The staff were friendly, quick to answer questions, and made sure everything came out just right. If you’re looking for delicious, authentic Thai food in Texas, I highly recommend Lan Thai.
