Well, this sucks Yesterday, I bought some food. I asked the owner if he'd be open today, Mother's Day, and he said, "Yes, till 3." Today, the next day, Mother's Day, I called ahead to order, but no one answered the phone. They also didn't answer the phone yesterday, but I've lived in the area long enough to know the local businesses don't always answer thier phones, so I borrowed my friends car and drove over here. People were ordering food. With people waiting for their orders, I called again, while in my car. No answer. So, I just ordered at the window. Ran by great, kind people. Everything I’ve had has been delicious—pizza, donuts, bolillos, croissants! The donuts and bolillo sandwiches are my top recommendations. Everything is always so fresh and yummy! Best donuts I’ve had in Chicago and for the best price! Oh and the coffee is fantastic as well, nice and strong like I like it. I highly recommend it to anyone who lives in or is passing through South Chicago, just make sure it’s Saturday or Sunday! You won’t regret it! 😊

I see a lot of love for the pizza and the donuts, and I agree. Both are really good. However my favorite is for sure their bolillo sandwiches. Just like mom used to make. Fresh ingredients and very tasty. The food is amazing. I only have one problem, and it’s not even with Chicos. It’s with DoorDash.
