I'm editing my first review because I have been having their steak, and it is excellent now, The meat quality has improved, I wonder if they have a new cook. The steak has a wonderful char flavor, no more gristle, it's cut small, and is well seasoned and tender. I have it in a burrito usually, and I won't go anywhere else for steak burritos now. Their crunchy tacos de picadillo are good, their tacos de lengua are outstanding (when they're fresh). On the weekends, they have very good pozole but get there early or it's watered down. I get delivery, and they are usually pretty fast (less than 40 minutes). The one time they got my order wrong, they immediately sent a replacement. They were very nice over the phone. Since moving to the east side of Chicago 7 years ago this used to be my go to spot for Mexican food until the food started tasting and even looking different. There’s no consistency on how food is made here. One day the tacos will be delicious “seared meat” and another day the tacos will be fatty “boiled tasting” and lacking flavor. One day the pork tacos are chopped and other days the pork is sliced and filled with fat “no consistency”. Pick up ordering became a nuisance, this restaurant was on a streak of getting my orders wrong. The owner did correct the order but he wasn’t happy. I am a person that is all about the customer service I received with that being said is why Im giving them a 1star review... I was there yesterday evening with my family we walked in the two waitress made eye contact and neither of them greeted us horrible right.. the waitress comes over we could barley hear what she was saying and didn’t ask if we wanted to start with drinks or anything she just went right into and asked if we were ready to order mind you we had just got there... the waitress only checked up on us twice I believe after that she didn’t go to see if we were ready to pay or needed boxes to go or anything else rude right.. seriously the customer service SUCKS!!
