Waldo Cooneys Pizza — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

The ONLY reason I am giving this waste of an establishment a 1 is because a 0 is not possible. On June 14, 2020 at approximately 9:45PM I went into the store to pick up my medium pizza with chicken, garlic and jalepeno peppers. I paid, grabbed the box and headed to the car to check my food. I found out they had given me an all cheese pizza, but had charged for the toppings I ordered. I go back into the store to inquire about the order and was rudely greeted by what I initially thought was just a customer. The guy told me “My kind” which I am African American, was not welcomed into their store and I need to lower my tone, (which I was NOT HOLLERING OR ACTING IN AN EGREGIOUS MANNER). The guy told me “you don’t know who I am, you better look up El chapo and proceeded to put his hands in my face, and the staff were just standing there watching. I asked the staff member who initially offered me a $5.00 credit on my next order and told me I can keep the pizza, for a full refund because I KNEW I would never return! She told the guy to “just give her the money so she can leave” remind you, this guy was not behind the glass or in a uniform. In fact, he had tattoos all over his face, large clothes and a hat on. This is when she told me, my BROTHER is going to give your money back. There is no refund! Even though, they had messed up my entire order and charged me for toppings they claim they ran out of, but never mentioned anything to me! Had I not checked, they wouldn’t have said anything! However, the guy pulls money out of his pocket along with a knife and other illegal substances and Slammed money on the counter for me to pick up! I asked the lady for a refund from her, NOT a family member of hers who doesn’t work here! She said I either take it from him or get NOTHING! I left, with the money he had slammed on the counter and called the police immediately! I will be filling out a Police report in a few hours and returning back there with the police ! I was racially profiled and assaulted! And to top it off, I called the store back and asked for a manager. After being disconnected and having to call back, someone who alleges her name is “ALEXIS” got on the phone. I explained to her what had just happened and she said “I know, I just seen it all happen.” I said soooo you never addressed it , only sat and watched as one of your customers got verbally attacked by one of your family members in the store and forced me to take money from him because you were giving me NOTHING, even though you messed up my original order? She literally was like okay are you done? I advised her of the legal actions I’m taking Against her establishment And she said okay and disconnected! PLEASEEEEEEEEE if you have any morals, values or standards. You will NEVER SUPPORT such disgusting place! This experience has traumatized me and I literally could not eat again! Still have not eaten! I was very professional and courteous to everyone at the restaurant and to be treated like this after spending my hard earned money here is UNACCEPTABLE! Not a very pleasant or customer friendly place. I recently moved to this side of town coming from midway area where there’s thousands of pizza places where they want your business long story short I order a pizza and paid with my credit card I specifically told them to knock on my door as I don’t have a doorbell. It was one hour later when I called them to ask about my delivery they said that no one was home I as expected replied I was home they said they wouldn’t come back to deliver so I asked for refund they told me to call back next day and that the refund will be issued. I called and a nasty manager told me to f up as he wasn’t going to refund any money so I asked for a pizza then instead he said that he will give me another pizza but I have to repay for delivery and tip. I called bbb on them as I didn’t have my food or money. Be careful...

Never again will i order from here again last time i ordered the phone girl kept putting me on hold and when she was taking my order she kept rushing me and got my order wrong on top of that when my husband went to pick up the food they didnt give him one third of the order and she got my order completely wrong. When i called spoke to the manager i didnt get an apology from him at all all i got was a what did she forget to give u? What didnt she charge u?
