The Rusty Cup Coffee Shop — Restaurant in Ida Township

We ventured to The Rusty Cup on a weekday, late in the afternoon. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting. There are numerous seating options: regular tables, high tops, couch, different chairs throughout, and places for smaller sized groups to gather. There’s just the right amount of decor, along with several tactile items, including cards and shells. The staff was phenomenal. They were friendly, inviting, helpful and patient. I’m always nervous at a new coffee shop, as I can’t have coffee and have limited dietary restrictions. They were helpful in sharing the options that would work for me, which I very much appreciated. I ordered a frappe, and I don’t believe there was any espresso in it. As a barista myself, I know something was wrong. It was also extremely pricey for the quality I got.

As far as service, nobody was rude. They just weren’t friendly. They got me through the order with bare minimum interaction. Maybe I came on a bad day, but if you’re looking for somewhere with excellent service, I would not recommend this shop.

Their frappes aren't frappes. They don't put coffee in it. They just use the frappes mix and make shakes. Simple Google search will show frappes included coffee of sort. Whether if it's a frappe or frappuccino.. that drink is already almost $6 and I'm not even getting coffee like the name FRAPPE implies. Then plus I have to pay $3 extra for a shot of expresso.
