Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Idabel

I was in Braums last night in Idabel,Ok and had th we worse service. I shopped in the grocery area and was ready to check out and after I took everything out of my basket the girl working in that area told me I had to check out at the counter to order food so I put everything back into the basket and went to the counter and when I placed my basket on the counter the employee behind the counter informed me that I had to go back to the grocery area to get checked out. I told him she told me to come up here. He then asked the employee that told me to go to the counter why I had to check out there and she said that they already pulled her drawer. It was 9:49pm and they close at 11pm. She said do you want me to do it and he said yes because you have to manually type in each bar code for each item. She come over there and started typing in the bar code for my sausage egg crescents and then yanked the package off the counter and stormed off like I was imposition for her. I then looked at the boy and said just forget it since I was so much trouble for them and left all my groceries in the basket on the counter and walked out. It really upsets me because I love to buying my groceries at Braums but I will do without before I go...

My wife and I visited this Braum's yesterday on one of our little journeys. We were craving some ice cream and this happened to be on the road where we were going for some shopping. Over all the restaurant is very clean. It is well stocked in their grocery section. And they are very affordable there as well. Got a big can of Spanish peanuts for nearly half what is pay anywhere else. As for their ice cream, it was good as it always is. My only knock on the place is too things. The bathroom was not stocked at all on toilet paper and towels and could have used some cleaning. But as we don't always go to fast food places for bathrooms I'll go into #2. I ordered a hot fudge sundae and my wife did a strawberry shortcake sundae. Well the lady made the hot fudge one first and got behind on my wife's so by the time I got mine it was about half melted. But not wanting to sound like first world problems, I will say it was good and I didn't want to take it back cause I knew they were busy and it was not bad enough to take back. I have ate at this Braum's on several occasions. It seems that the business is consistently declining. Tonight was awful! One employee was making a banana split and was cutting the banana peels with her inch log finger nails. All food was being prepared with bare hand's. The counter was filthy. The floor worse. The employee who waited on us, used the same unclean scoop to do all the orders. No washing. I have been a loyal Braum's fan for years, but the unsanitary conditions I continue to encounter, is promoting me to reconsider purchasing from this establishment.
