We went to an early dinner today during their soft opening. At 4:30, they were not busy. I love that the SE Boise location is close to the river, and there's a patio. We knew we were going to have burgers and split a milkshake. We ordered a 2-0-8 burger+candied bacon (medium well, no pink) & a spicy jalapeño bacon chicken sandwich. Both were very good. We split truffle parmesan fries & they were good. We had about 3 or 4 different servers. The one that took our order was great. The one that delivered our order, not-so-much. She brought the 2-0-8 burger and asked who had well done, I said no one, but we did have medium well. She said that wasn't an option, it's either rare, medium, or well. (We weren't offered that explanation upon ordering). I just said ok, but if it's dry, I'll be sending it back. She totally gave me attitude and walked off in a huff. It wasn't {too} dry, and the flavor made up for the tad dry that it was. We split a s'more milk shake for dessert, and it was good. A bit too much whipped cream for my liking (about 1/3 of the glass it was served in was whipped cream), but it was yummy. Rich, but yummy. This new location is pretty much in my backyard, so I'll be back. I want to try their cocktails, for sure. I wish they offered Happy Hour. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sid’s Garage on Park Center is our new obsession. We live right by it and for YEARS just drove past it, assuming it was dark bar food with “meh, garage vibes.” Couldn’t have been more wrong. We finally popped in and… wow. Gorgeous patio right on the river, complete with misters and an epic view. Everything’s made with fresh, local ingredients—and the candied bacon?! Hanging on a little rack, torched in front of you with fresh rosemary. Unreal. They also serve the best homemade Bloody Mary mix on the planet (and I’m picky). Grace behind the bar is amazing—we could’ve talked with her for hours (oh wait… we did). Justin, the manager, is also so attentive and super friendly. We’ve already been back before even writing this review, and the second visit did not disappoint. It’s officially validated. This spot is a total hidden gem—don’t sleep on it.

SIDS Garage is hands down one of the best spots in town! The atmosphere is super cool and fun, with a unique vibe that makes every visit memorable. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Their burgers are absolutely the best—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. And let’s talk about the milkshakes—completely over-the-top in the best way possible! Loaded with toppings and packed with flavor, they’re a must-try. The sides are just as good, rounding out an all-around amazing meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for great food and a great time!

Imagine Applebee's with a twist. It's all decent, nothing amazing. Perfect spot if you're looking for a drink and burger, but not willing to venture out of SE Boise.

This place embodies the whole big fat American thing. Did you want a burger? Well here is a burger with a scoop of Mac N' Cheese on it. Not for you? Well here's a different burger with PB & J on it. Want a shake? Well this shake has a piece of cake on it. Oh, fries you say? Hope you like them smothered in beef tallow. Every order should come with an American flag, a firearm, and a shot of insulin for the inevitable diabetes that you will get from eating here.

Also, I'm very stuck on this, but we ordered the tempura green beans and they served them to us in a shoe. It was the most confusing thing I have ever seen at any dining experience. The green beans were in a separate serving container that had been placed inside a running shoe (new, not worn). The waiter then took the container out of the shoe and walked away with the shoe after dropping the green beans. What was the shoe for...who knows? Maybe he just came from...

Great location and a much needed addition to the Barber valley. The food is good but wish there were some more options that were on the lighter side. Everything is seemingly fried to an extent and it would be nice to have more diversity on the menu, understanding it’s a burger place, two salad options (one with fried chicken) just isn’t hitting the mark. Nearly all of the Apps are fried, making it hard to balance an already indulgent meal. The kids menu is pretty basic (to be expected) but really wish the kids burger didn’t come with the same 1/2lb patty as the rest of the menu, it’s hard for a kid to eat that or really enjoy it. Lastly, could do without the explicit music given it’s geared towards families. It’s worth noting Service has always been really good in the two times we have been. We will be back im sure but just not as frequently as we otherwise would be with the...
