We wanted to go somewhere special for Mother's Day brunch and chose Chevy Chase CC thinking that it's a country club they've got to have a fantastic brunch (especially for $70 @ person), WOW was that a wrong assumption to make! To have a Mother's Day brunch one would figure that they would have some type of omelet station not just scrambled eggs sitting in a warming pan. They did have french toast sticks but were overcooked (almost burnt) and cold, the hash-browns were just large McDonald's type potato cakes that were barely warm, the biscuits were cold & hard and the gravy was lukewarm basically a majority of the food was cold. The carving station had roast beef that was overcooked and luke warm and the lamp was undercooked. They were constantly running out of plates, coffee cups, and coffee condiment's. The deserts table looked like it was more of a sampling table where the deserts were cut up in tiny pieces to make it look like there was so much more, not to mention the tongs to grab the deserts looked like they had been used the night before by the amount of food stuck on the end of them. (try changing them out once and a while or cleaning them off during the event)
You would think that a Mother's Day Brunch would include at least one (1) Mimosa for each of the guests but those were available at the cash bar for $9.00 each.
Please don't thing that this is just one person complaining, there were 6 in our group and they all felt the same, as though we were grossly overcharged for subpar food that was warm at best.
We would of been better off going to Denny's where the food would have been hot and not cost $70.00 per person!

Read moreIt's been a year since I got married at Chevy Chase. I'm not the person to post reviews and I was fighting with myself with doing so with this place but I just can't get over the horrible job they did on my wedding day. When we first went in we were treated real nice everything was good pricing was right and so on. To make story short... On my wedding day towards the end when they were starting to pick up my husband and I were taking a test from dancing and were at the bar when we saw the servers picking up the glass jars and putting them on a cart. The server put way too many on one side and the whole things collapsed. All the jars broke. We understand things happen and accident occur. When we approached them about the situation they said they would take care of it. We rented those glass hard each at $25. When we told that the company was sending us invoice charging us they wouldn't reply. It took us 4 months after the wedding to get a response from anyone. The company then starting charging late fees and when I told the people over at Chevy Chase that I was getting late fees they didn't say anything about it. I owed the company $500 for broken jars which included late fees. Chevy Chase along sent me $200 and didn't bother to say anything or even reply to my numerous emails! I ended up paying out of my packet for broken jars something we didn't do! Overall Chevy Chase is a great place the chef is the greatest but the staff are just questionable! They didn’t return everything...
Read moreWe recently hosted our wedding in the Devonshire Room at Chevy Chase Country Club and it was everything we could have wished for. When we first walked into Chevy Chase while looking for a venue I thought I would never be able to afford such an updated, clean, professional place, but their pricing was such a wonderful surprise. Everything is broken down to make it easy to understand what you are actually paying for. We had to post-pone our wedding twice and they were very accommodating and responsive in helping us find new dates and answering our over abundance of questions. We mainly worked with Sarah, who sadly took a role at another company right before our wedding, but she was so patient, honest, and understanding with us. With switching event coordinator's so close to our date, there was some confusion, but when it came to the day of our wedding everything went by so smoothly. Their team really pulled it all together for us and it was a stress free day to say the least. Everyone had nothing but great things to say about the food. Every entre option was delicious which made it really hard to choose what we wanted to eat on the day of our wedding. Our day was nothing short of perfect for us, and I would absolutely recommend having your event at...
