My recent visit to this Ramen place left me with mixed feelings. I had heard a lot about it, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. On a scale of one to five, I would rate it as a solid three.
First and foremost, the Ramen here was just okay. It didn't have that wow factor that I usually associate with a great Ramen experience. I couldn't help but compare it to other Ramen places in the area that I have tried and enjoyed much more. The flavors were decent, but they lacked the depth and complexity that I have come to expect from a good bowl of Ramen.
One of the major letdowns was the lack of customization options. Unlike many other Ramen places in the vicinity, this restaurant flat-out refused to make any substitutions to the Ramen bowls. For someone like me who has specific dietary preferences and allergies, customization is essential. It's disappointing to visit a restaurant and not be able to tailor your meal according to your taste and dietary needs. This lack of flexibility significantly impacted my overall dining experience.
Moreover, it was evident that the dishes were pre-made and simply heated and served upon ordering. The speed at which our food arrived was a dead giveaway. Within just five minutes of placing our order, our Ramen bowls were on the table. While fast service is appreciated, it made me question the freshness of the ingredients and the authenticity of the preparation. In comparison, other Ramen places in the area take the time to carefully prepare each order, taking around 15-20 minutes to ensure a fresh and flavorful experience.
Specifically, we ordered the Chicken Mabo Tofu Ramen with Egg and the Chicken Ramen. Unfortunately, our request for substitutions was met with a firm refusal. This lack of accommodation was frustrating, especially considering the prevalence of food allergies and dietary restrictions among customers nowadays. A little flexibility can go a long way in enhancing customer satisfaction and ensuring that everyone can enjoy a satisfying meal.
In summary, this Ramen place was a mediocre experience. While the food was edible, it lacked the quality, customization options, and freshness that I value in a good Ramen restaurant. I might consider giving it another chance in the future, but for now, I will continue my search for a truly exceptional Ramen spot...
Read moreIn our first visit to this new Ramen place, we ordered both the red and white miso ramen options. The red miso ramen had a deep, rich flavor and salty profile, accompanied by thick noodles that added a satisfying chewiness. On the other hand, the white miso ramen boasted a lighter yet more flavorful soup base, paired with delicate, thinner ramen noodles. Personally, I found myself leaning towards the white miso variation for its unique umami flavors.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the braised egg, I must admit that the Pork Char-Shu fell short of my expectations. It arrived cold, and the flavor was too mild and lean for my personal taste. I wondered if allowing it to soak longer in the soup would improve its taste, but unfortunately, it did not become my preferred choice of pork.
The portion size felt a tad smaller than what I typically expect from a bowl of ramen. Although it wasn't significantly less, it was noticeable enough to leave me wanting a bit more.
On a positive note, we also ordered the Karage chicken rice for my son, and he thoroughly enjoyed it. The chicken was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying rice provided a satisfying contrast of textures and flavors.
While this new ramen restaurant may not secure a top spot on my favorite ramen places list, I am grateful to have another option in the area. It's always nice to have variety and choice when it comes to enjoying ramen.
Update: On my second visit, I ordered the spicy white miso, but personally, I felt that the spice overpowered the taste of the broth. Next time, I'll stick with the simple white miso. Additionally, I noticed an improvement in portion size during my last visit. I was completely satisfied with the hearty bowl of ramen. I'd also like to mention that the service staff was nice and attentive on both...
Read moreI really like this place, it’s a good hearty bowl of soup. I tend to get the same thing over and over cause I’m a creature of habit. We come here every month or so. And the experience has always been consistent.
I will preface this with how I found them. Originally I tried ordering from the through door dash and both times they messed up the order and required me to come to the Resturant to get my order. The first time I ate at the counter and realized how good it was, so I tried to order from dd again and again they messed up the order. When it comes to delivery let’s say I don’t bother anymore. I will not do it because I just end up having to come anyway. So once I realized this, I figured if I want good ramen I’ll just eat in.
The food is really good, we’ve had the gyoza which is delicately fried and comes with a nice spicy mayo. The shrimp shumai was also pretty solid. I get the white miso ramen which supposedly takes 4 days to make the broth. I don’t know what they do bust it is so delicious and savory. The noodles are perfect with a nice hunk of pork floating on top. My daughter normally gets the chicken ramen and there is enough to take home. It’s our daddy daughter spiny and we love coming here.
Service is ok, seem to have a lot of turnover but like I said the experience is always consistent.
The decor is cute and fine for a soup spot. Like I said I come here regularly and will continue to do so. The price is right, the food is good and it keeps...
