So I normally try to avoid this location because the employee attitudes here are just abhorrent. But I was in a rush, so I go through the drive through and a girl takes my order. Mentions not once that their systems are down today. The car in front of me seems to also receive their order correctly. I go to pay and the guy tells me the wrong amount. When I tell him that not my order he looked at me like I had 3 heads. “Do you know what you ordered”, he asks me? Lmao, I mean obviously I do. When I ask, well who did I just give my order to in the drive through? Another girl pipes up and states “there’s an outage today.” Well, the car before me for their order and it looks like you’re handing me the car after mines order so, it seems like maybe someone just forgot to make my order. When I ask why they are not telling customers in the drive through and maybe the drive through shouldn’t be open- she blames corporate and they all roll their eyes at me.
First off, I’m not just up at 8am on Friday for kicks, I’m on my way to an appointment for my kid and don’t have time to sit and wait, if they would have said there was an issue I would have gotten out line and went elsewhere. Secondly, this location is the prime example of what’s wrong in today’s work force. Children that have 0 customer service skills. Everyone here is always miserable, miserable I guess that they make coffee for a living. Whatever the reason is, I suggest they all take some classes on customer service. I’m sure theres thousands of other people that would be appreciative of the job they all seem to despise. And lastly, don’t use a global outage for piss...
Read moreOver the years I have found that Starbucks tends to hire exceedingly good people. Not just good workers, not just good at what they do, genuinely good people. This cannot be more expressed and more acknowledged than when I walked into the Hanover Park location on lake Street today. After asking the cashier how her day was going, I was greeted with such a genuine human and beautiful engagement that made me feel like not only was I welcome there, but that the business as a whole, her management, the brand, truly gives a damn about human experience.
Not sure if this is going to show up or not, as I hit post too early, but I wanted to go back and make sure I added more. You never know how someone's day is going, and what little thing you do truly makes a difference in their lives. And those staged fake experiences where businesses tell their employees that they have to be this plastic perfect representation always leaves a bad taste of my mouth.
But quite literally, all three of the amazing crew at the Hanover Park location we're not only genuine good people, but they lit my day up like a firework. Having that moment I think fondly not just about this store's location, but also the brand overall. And while people may say negative things about Starbucks and the coffee, I don't care, because I keep meeting the best people around here.
And hanover parks crew is absolutely no exception. Thank you so much for making my day and the best meal I've...
Read moreI use to love this location and the baristas until a worker by the name of Cass started there. Her attitude is horrible, highly unprofessional, prideful, her attire is inappropriatefor the workplace and is just overall unpleasant. She has messed up my drink several times even with something as simple as the type of espresso shots or the kind of cold foam. She rolls her eyes, acts like the customer is an inconvenience even though SHE came in to work and I have no doubt im not the only one. Im hoping she is younger despite how old she looks because that behavior is sad and that of a child. I know myself and others dont come anymore because of her. Management isnt any better cause she is still there and they are clearly pushing out and losing the people that hold this location down. Now there are only a few people who are consistent. Thank you to Danielle, Stephanie, Dom and two other wonderful ladies whom I havent gotten there name yet. I hope Cass is let go or transfers so i can not only come back but also update my review as the ither Baristas...
