I had the most amazing experience with AOI -- namely Jason (my main rep) and Todd. I came to them with a BUDGET project for a Client's new architectural firm -- we needed office workstations, conference room table, desk partitions and chairs. On a limited budget, I initially thought I would have to try to back into some USED furniture and somehow luck into the quantity I needed. And settle for something less than ideal.
Jason and Todd didn't miss a beat -- after a tour of their showroom, they showed me a NEW collection that had the look, colors, and price points I was looking for. With a tremendous used inventory right there on the premises, I was able to stretch my budget even more with some fantastic used task chairs and the perfect olive green leather executive chairs for the conference room (funny enough, these were so spectacular that they became the cornerstone and inspiration for the entire project!!). Jason went out of his way -- literally, driving to meet me in a parking lot -- to get me fabric samples to keep me on schedule.
Outside of having a range of product offerings and price points, the real value they bring to the table is their presentation materials -- their field measures, plans and isometric drawings. Not being used to commercial work (I'm a residential designer), they made my job so much easier creating these tools to present to my Client and to use in my own files. Installation was FLAWLESS. Although we had a little hiccup with the final date, it was communicated well in advance so we were flexible. His team was ON-TIME and it was managed by an experienced superintendent who measured and remeasured to make sure everything was perfectly symmetrical. Even when we realized that our used olive conference room chairs were not inventoried on their end correctly and we were short a chair, Jason stepped up to the plate immediately and took care of it (ordering me a new chair).
It is a breath of fresh air to work with someone who cared about my little project, treated it like it was a million-dollar revenue builder for them when it wasn't anything close. Professional, kind, creative, flexible, responsive, honest and a wicked sense of humor, I hope I do more commercial projects just I can get the band back together.

   Read moreBought a Herman Miller Aeron from this location with the aid of Alex, a sales rep there. He assured me I had 30 days to try it out and if there were any issues with the one I selected, we could swap it out from the stock he had at the warehouse.
Fastforward a few weeks, I'm hearing a popping noise in the piston that is driving me crazy, so I elect to bring mine back and see what can be done. Alex spent hours trying to swap out parts but was unsuccessful, and rest of the stock had already been shipped up to their location in Madison.
To make things right, Alex asked that a chair with my same features be shipped BACK to the Roselle location over the weekend. He ensured there were no popping noises or any other funny business. On Monday morning, I went and picked up a perfect example of an Aeron :) Some places would've made this difficult by coming up with a half-baked solution or not given me any sort of guarantees on what to expect, but Alex made it happen and kept the sale.

I checked the website last night and again this morning and they claimed to have quite a few of what I wanted available. I drove over an hour to get to the showroom that I was told had what I wanted and when I got there was told âthey are all already sold or on holdâ. Drove back with nothing. Also, the pictures of the items they have on the website must be based on the very best ones they have as lots of the items on the floor were pretty beaten up. I wonât be going back and donât recommend. Update: 2023-04-05. The president of the company reached out and was very reasonable and sincere in trying to make amends. Although I had already found what I was looking for elsewhere, this goes a long way with me and I am changing the rating to 3 stars.
