Topper's sports bar — Restaurant in Illinois

Just started going there in the last month. Normally when you walk in a neighborhood bar you have never been to everyone turns and looks at you as you are a stranger and they usually don't pay you any attention. Well when i walked in alone for the first time, Denise the bartender immediatly said " well, hi how are you?" and some of the customers even waved and said hi and made me feel welcome. Denise was extremely friendly and we had a nice conversation. She told me that with my personality i should really meet another bartender there named JoAnn. Denise wrote down a schedule of all the bartenders for me. She was really welcoming and a great bartender. Well i went for my 2nd visit to meet JoAnn and when i walked in again it was like i had been going there for years. What a great neighborhood bar this is. JoAnn and i hit it off immediately and she too was a great bartender and extremely friendly. I use to be a bartender for about 20 years so i do know a great bartender when i see one. JoAnn and Denise are just fantastic and altough i have met Kristin i have yet gone in while she was working, but she too is extremely friendly. I am so glad i found my new hangout, i can't say enough of how great this place is and the bartenders and customers are great also. Kudos...

I was in this bar let evening and the place had about a dozen people . Mist were intoxicated or close to it. I played acre ganes of pool. There was a young man in there about 23 maybe . With a hat that had the strait brim. Gang type. I went outside to smoke a cigarette. I turned and he lunged at me. Punched Nevin face. Broke my nose. And jaw pretty sure today. The bartender knows the man well. She proceeded to have him leave out back door. Police came. I pressed charges. I am now going to sue the bar. Good luck toppers. 07/03/2020 was my FIRST time ever going to this bar. Went there on a wing because I had a bad experience at another bar a couple hours prior. Had an absolute BLAST! The bartender, Allison, was an ABSOLUTE sweetheart and was super friendly. The atmosphere alone was just overall so much better, definitely voted this bar as my new bar thanks to her! I wish I could rate it higher than...
