Wagon Wheel — Restaurant in Illinois

We were there during the lunch hour and even though there were only 2 of us we sat at a table set for 4 because the 2 top tables seemed small and right against the wall. The dining area was spacious with several different rooms and a bar area. There were many sized tables set from 2 to 20. The service was ok, not the friendliest, but she was efficient. We didn't have to wait long to get our drinks or food which we appreciated. We both ordered the ribeye steak sandwich one was ordered and served on Texas toast as it is on the menu the other was ordered and served on a hoagi bun. The meals were served as ordered and were very good. I plan to go back and try other meals on the menu or maybe the salad bar. The parking is right outside the door and there is a ramp to get up onto the porch. There are 2 doors however if you are using assistive devices you might need someone to open and hold the...

We just ate at wagon wheel sterling. There was only 3 tables with people. We waited and waited and waited. Finally the table next to us walked up and asked one of the waitresses to wait on us. He was also waiting for tarter sauce for his fish. They finally took our drink and food order. Person didn't say help self to salad bar or anything. Salad bar was good. Husband got all the walleye you can eat. Waitress never came to see if we wanted another drink or more fish or if everything was okay. Fish was so hot/spicy you could hardly eat. Saw waitresses again with the Bill. They seemed to have enough staff to wait on tables but they didn't seem to know who was doing what. Also green beans over cooked. Food was just okay....

We couldn’t figure out where the main door was since no entrance was marked. Even when inside the layout was confusing. No one was around to greet us. Finally a waitress set us at a table with dirty dishes. Only had soda in cans so no refills. Took our order and never saw our waitress again. The staff was rude, lazy and made us feel like intruders. 45 minutes later still no food and frankly getting tired of the nasty looks from one young waitress. We paid for our sodas and walked out. This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. DONT waste your time with this place. We left and went to Asian Buffet and we were blown away by the great service, wonderful atmosphere and the best food. The wagon wheel needs...
