I have eaten at Aurelio's twice. The first time I ordered a deep dish pizza with the works on it if I remember correctly and some tomato bread. It was genuinely some of the best pizza I have had and was comparable to Chicago pizza. That was in early 2023.
I am not sure what changed from then until Saturday the 11th but my experience was not nearly as favorable this time. The garlic bread was almost rock-hard, and the chicken alfredo was soupy and flavorless (which was $18). The cheese pizza ($20) was good and the best thing of the night but lacked the quality I had previously experienced. The prices are a too high for the quality of food served.
Our waitress didn't seem to know what was going on or what the menu items were or what came with what so I am assuming she was new. The other waitress standing around doing nothing decided to watch instead of lending a hand to create a better experience for everyone and left people standing around waiting to be seated.
I would recommend going still because you might have a better outcome or similar outcome to my first visit. I will eat here again in hopes this was just a bad day for Aurelio's and update the...
Read moreWe enjoy eating there. The pizza and the rest of the food on the menu are great. The food doesn't have that canned sauce taste. They have a TV but it seems to not work most of the time. The eating area has a nice atmosphere. there are these wooden beams and lattice that give a garden feel. I don't know why there are "bricks" over the "garden" area but the lighting is cool. The other half of the place has a gym feel. *Update 2-12-2010 They remodeled the "Gym side! All I have to say is.... You guys went all out! It's like being in a courtyard! The place is amazing! the center of the ceiling is so cool. They painted clouds and I don't know how but I swear they seem to move! They have stained glass windows that are lighted from behind (the stained glass is the Aurelio's shield logo). There is multi-layers of lighting which really set this place off as great atmosphere. If you need a place to have an event (weddings, birthdays, ect) this would be so perfect. The food is great the room is gorgeous. The people really make you feel...
Read moreI hadn’t eaten or ordered an Aurelio’s pizza in a couple of years due to a poor pizza the last time I ordered. I thought I would try again and ordered online for pick- up. Instructions were a 40 minute wait and provided me with a pick- up time. Nothing unusual or special on the pizza. A thin crust with basic ingredients. Pricing outrageous! $37 for a large sausage, cheese, pepperoni & onion. Picked it up on time. Box was barely warm and when I got home which is 7 minutes away the pizza was room temperature and appeared overcooked, dry and tasteless. Even when I heated in microwave it stillI was not juicy or better. Other crust options are deep dish or stuffed crust. Neither appealed to me so I ordered thin. This pizza was not appetizing to look at or eat. I will not return again. Years ago this was one of my favorite pizza places and it has gone downhill over the years. Disappointing. Ended up throwing out most of the pizza. Usually freeze for future meals....
