Baldy's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Indiana

I went here for brunch with a friend and her daughter yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a vegan veggie burger on the menu(win!) I didn't order it though so I can't comment on how that dish is. If you look at the menu, you'll see that their menu changes M-F, which I think is pretty cool. I ended up ordering a grilled cheese, with some added 🥑. Our waitress was super friendly; I can't recall her name, but she said that serving us was her second time working as a waitress, since she'd been a busser before, but had been promoted; she genuinely seemed happy, which is great. For me, the happiness of the workers does factor in my reviews, fyi.

We ordered and our food came out all at once in about ten minutes; when it did, we all remarked at how large the portions were. My friend and her daughter ordered some kind of sandwich, the one that comes with the au jus dip(sorry can't remember the name of the meat), and the chicken tenders.

All of us thoroughly enjoyed our food, and I especially liked the way they cooked their fries; crispy on the edges but soft on the inside. They were also really thick. My grilled cheese wasn't soggy, maintained it's crispiness throughout and the Swiss cheese was of quality and super tasty. I also appreciate the avocado was actually a good 🥑, because usually when I order avocado with a sandwich they cheap out on those at restaurants and get the watery ones.

My friend's daughter also ordered a strawberry milkshake; it was delivered to her with an additional metal cup that contained extra, which was pretty much almost enough for two milkshakes; the guy who served it to us offered to put in a separate cup and add whipped cream on top for my friend, which was really considerate.

Overall, the food and the friendly service persons here would definitely bring me back if I'm in the area again, I would...

I am disappointed that I did not know about this place sooner! My dad introduced me. To Baldy's pizza recently and I'm so glad he did. Their pizza is sooo good! The dough has a great taste. I'm not a crust eater but with Baldy's, I love their crust. As well as their breadsticks with hot cheese. I got a large pepperoni with a full order of breaksticks with 2 cheese sauces for under $15. That's a great deal! I like how there was lots of pepperoni on the pizza verses when I order from bigger chain pizza places that put a small amount of pepperoni on their pizza. Not to mention, the quality doesn't come close to Baldy's pizza. I highly recommend this small pizza place. And a plus side is the ice cream place next to it that I assume they run as well makes it so much better! I will definitely be back again and again. I won't be ordering from the big pizza chain places anymore. I've officially been converted thanks to my dad. I forgot to mention the service was good as well. Friendly and fast. I can't wait to try...

We have been ordering Baldy's off and on for well over a decade. There are a number of great pizza places in Bloomington (Aver's, Rocket's, Pizza Express, and Trailhead come to mind) but when we order pizza we order from Baldy's 3/5 times. The crust is very good, ingredients are quality and ordering is always straight forward. The best part is that if you order pizza you can add ice cream (Scoops next door) to the delivery order as well! The family loves it!

Occasionally they make a mistake and offer to credit our next order. Unfortunately, I rarely remember this so it's usually a write off for me. Due to this I would technically rate them 4.5 stars as I can see how error compensation could...
