Don Cuervo — Restaurant in Indiana

We ate at this restaurant a couple weeks ago and dined in. Small portions and a little overpriced but food was decent. So, we decided to try it again. We tried carry-out this time. What a mistake! The order literally was only half there! They forgot 3 of 6 items and charged me $40 for 2 nachos and a salad. I didnt receive receipt so I thought maybe they just didn't charge me for it, but then I called and explained the situation they said they couldn't help me and I could just reorder and repay for the missing items! I eat at restaurants everyday and I have never asked for anything that I didn’t pay for. I've never been ripped off like this especially at a local restaurant. I hope I'm the only one this has happened to and maybe they were just having a bad night? We come here regularly. We dine in and carry out weekly. I’ve never had a bad experience here. I’m not sure what other reviewers experienced, but considering I come here 40-50 times a year, I can only assume it was an anomaly for them.

Now, down to business. I’ve had everything on the menu. Quite literally everything. Tacos are good, fajitas are good, the nachos are good…. The enchiladas with green sauce are yummy, the carnitas are delish…. Pretty much can’t go wrong. They used to have tres leches but don’t anymore. That’s the only down side. And that’s too bad because I would eat 5 pieces of that stuff.

My favorite thing about this place is that it is your normal Mexican fare, but it’s just 10-15% better than all the other places. Somehow it’s just as if they pay a little bit more attention to detail than everyone else. And that’s why this...

We had a server that repeated my order back to me not only once but twice and food all came out wrong. Went addressed the issue my food was brought back out and I was charged for chicken that was supposed to be included in the entree. I then proceeded to place a to go order and the waitress came back out of kitchen and took my to go order and said she made hard shell not soft and remade order. When the owner Enrique which I’m not sure if that is how you spell his name because he refused to write it down and said his cook’s are doing the right thing and putting out right orders and it was my mistake that the 2.00 chicken that was supposed to be included in taco salad.
