On a recent trip to Ft Wayne we were hungry on Saturday evening and wanted pizza. We usually order from Marco's but their delivery is terrible so we'd have to drive there and back. Deciding we're done with Marco's our son-in-law recommended Lexy's. Just a couple miles down the road from our hotel so we thought "Why Not!?".
After perusing the menu online we found the Neapolitan pizza. (My wife kept calling it the Napoleon) It looked tasty and all the reviews we read mentioned that the quantities of the toppings on all their pizzas were insane. I was hungry. It was a perfect fit.
Fast forward about 20 minutes and we arrived to pick up our pizza. There's some seating and table for diners-in. Nothing extravagant, but enough for people who don't want to haul the pizza back to the hotel/home/girlfriend's house/workplace/crematory. Our pie was hot and ready, so pickup was fast.
First thing I noticed about this pizza was the weight. It was not light. in fact, it was HEAVY. It also made the car smell great on our way back. When you're as hungry as I was that smell was better than the new car scent that the car wash put in my car earlier that week.
Pizza in hand, a bucket of ice and a couple bottles of Dr. Pepper® later and we're ready for food.
Holy HELL, this pizza was amazing!
Sausage, mushroom, onion, green pepper, and mozzarella never tasted so good. Seriously. This was fantastic.
We ordered a large pizza because....pizza. Usually there's a piece or two left over.
Not this time.
I don't know the story behind Lexy's and I don't know how long it's been there, but I do know that this was, hands down, the best pizza I've ever had in Ft Wayne.
Now I have to suffer in pizza mediocrity until the next time we go to Ft. Wayne.
Thanks for spoiling my pizza...
Read moreWe heard good things about Lexy's and decided to give it a try. We called it in and went to pick up our order. When we were at the restaurant we noticed multiple employees didn't change gloves between interactions. One employee in particular wore the same pair of gloves to ring up multiple customers, answer the phone, got a drink from the pop fountain, wiped down the counter, fixed her hair, and then dove her hands into the buckets of toppings. We were put off after seeing this but didn't make it an issue and decided to give the food a try anyway since we had heard such good things about it. The pizza was just ok and we have had better from multiple other places around Fort Wayne. I do hope management does something about the lack of proper hygiene practices around food preparation. One gentleman even tried to shake a customers hand while wearing the same gloves he was preparing food with. I am not looking for a refund, credit, or apologize as we will not be returning. I'm simply asking for management to please look into the poor hygiene practices. On a positive note, the staff was...

Original Review: I like Lexy's pizza, but I do not recommend this particular place. I wanted to go to this location because they offer some items the other locations do not. When I called to place my order, they told me it would be 25 minutes. I then asked them for square-cut pizza. The kid on the phone started to go into some explaination about cheese. I explained to make the pizza like they normally do, but when they go to cut it, to cut it in squares, not in regular pizza slices. The kid said he would have to Google it because he didn't know what I was talking about, so I told him nevermind, just make and cut the pizza like normal. We got there 30-35 minutes later, and the kid told me they haven't even made the pizza yet. He offered to go ahead and make it but it would be another 30 minutes, and they would not offer me any money off or anything. So I told them no thank you and left. It doesn't seem they know what...
