East Side Steak and Lemonade — Restaurant in Indianapolis

I ordered Uber on evening of March 28,2023. Shrimp basket, chili cheese fries, German chocolate cake and a drink. Only reason I'm giving two stars due to the chili cheese fries being decent. They were warm from the chili and cheese...not the fries itself..All the food was not fresh .. I was 5 min from the restaurant. The shrimp was cooked well ahead of time and you can tell it had been sitting due to the crust being almost gummy..My German chocolate cake was so mushy and loose and falling apart. This was an end result of the cake being frozen and in the freezer for a long time and tasted like water. I ordered a 24 oz drink when I got my order it was a can drink...I did not dispute anything on my order due to I tipped the Uber driver and I didn't want it to interfere with their money. I'm also not from this area and wanted to try a new restaurant never again will I order from this restaurant. I am leaving an as honest as I can review. This place is okay my husband and I stopped in after picking up my grandson. I didn't know if he'd had lunch and we were gonna be out awhile. Went in and noticed they TRY too sell EVERYTHING!! DESSERTS LOOKED TEMPTING!! And because I have family in the vicinity they easy there WAAAYYY MORE THAN THEY SHOULD!!! We got the food and thought it was alright. They just about FRY EVERYTHING no healthy options unless you pick something done in the flat top. Another clogged artery and day builder place as if we DON'T HAVE ENOUGH of those. But as with ANYTHING IN LIFE, ALL THINGS GOOD IN MODERATION!!! I haven't chose to easy here anymore although they may be able to break a record of people staying in the building for any length of time and for that...

I rated this place only 3 stars for the overall rating, but 4 stars for their food. The service can be extremely slow, more times than not; Along with not the most pleasant staff members.

The restaurant itself honestly doesn't seem like it could genuinely pass a Health Inspection due to how dirty the place is; & that's not even including whatever the kitchen looks like ; God forbid anyone ever really knowing! I'm sure if anyone knew for sure, they'd more than likely lose majority (if not all) of their customers!
