Stopped here to pick up something to eat for the night. I got 2 cabeza, tripa, asada and pastor. All the food was well seasoned and all the food was served hot. Tripas were still a chewy even tho i asked for the toasted but they were still cooked better than some places ive been to. Green salsa had a nice kick to it. If you're sensitive to spicy, I dont recommend putting too much on. As previous reviews stated, they are a little pricey but everything is right now. Corn tortillas appear to be made in house which is a plus but they are regular size and they serve 2 with each taco so you do fill up fast. In Texas, our taco trucks use the mini tortillas instead of regular so eating 5 is not an issue for me usually. Highly recommend this place if you want street tacos. Just be careful of the parking. It is a little snug.

BEST TACOS I'VE EVER EATEN 🌮 😍 Listen, this place is busy busy busy for a reason. It's delicious and the prices are incredible - $3 a taco, $3.50 for a tamale 🫔 You definitely need to get the Al Pastor pork taco! Be prepared for tight parking due to the small parking lot + popularity. (PRO TIP : Some people park across the street and hoof it.) Line moves fast. They accept credit cards but you'll save a little money if you pay in cash. They'll call out your order number from the window. When you pick it up, there are sauces and toppings (pickled onion and habanero 🔥) that you can add on top. FYI soda pop will be a can. I'll be back!

All the food at gil tacos is excellent. I was one of the first few people to ever eat in there. That was five years ago and Gil taco hasn't change the food at all, it's been the same since the moment they started serving. Gil was one of the first few people to ever hold my brand new baby boy, again that was a little over 5 years ago. My family lives in Kentucky, today junior and myself stopped off at Gil Tacos for a cold drink and a couple of tacos. I don't believe anyone can do any better in Indianapolis than Gil Tacos. See you soon Gil, I'll bring the whole family next time.

A lot of Hispanic people come in here as customers, which was a good sign for me that it must be good and authentic. It doesn’t mean EVERYTHING since there’s a lot of mutual support in communities, but I’ve finally decided after my fourth time eating here, it’s GOOD. We have a winner. Beyond the food, this place is clean, their staff are nice, and they always seem to have everything on the menu they advertise. I’ve never been told they’re out of something. I’d describe Gil Tacos as a taco truck without the wheels. You aren’t served by a waiter at your table, you order at the counter and collect it in the window when ready. But this isn’t an inconvenience at all. You seat yourself and serve yourself. Whatever they’re doing back in the kitchen, they’re doing it well. I haven’t had a mediocre menu item yet. Everything they serve is flavorful and hot. I’ve never been given cold or lukewarm food, which I guess at this point it sounds like my standards aren’t very high. Maybe they aren’t, but I’ve had some garbage food around town here and Gil Tacos is far from that. Delicious menu. This is my favorite in Indy. Also very reasonably priced for what you’re getting. Absolutely worth sharing...

The only reason I gave them a star is because they wore masks and gloves. Portion control is important in any business. Having a history in Culinary Arts I understand and respect this.

Yet when you have unseasoned Tacos doubled up with soft Corn Tortillas for the illusion of bulk, which are a size smaller than a hamburger bun... Pollo Taco with like a table spoon of meat .. and Supreme with even less than that...I spent 28.61 - 30.00 for ten Tacos. The Tacos were not seasoned. They jammed them all together and they are so soft that the shells stuck together. They were more soft Corn Tortilla than anything else. The portion size and taste are inexcusable.

If Taco's represent this business they should be shut down. You can't spend an estimate of 30.00 in one sitting and still be hungry afterwards.

Terrible food, which is over priced. We have to do better in Indiana moving forward. As a state we are trying to recover during the Covid-19 and support local businesses. Gils Taco doesn't respect the Hoosier dollar, or what Indiana as a state is trying to do in supporting small businesses during...

Im giving this place 3 starts because the food is really good but the service isnt that great. I went in for the first time because I'm from Chicago and they on my order, they left out one of my tacos. I called them and they told me to would give me an extra taco for my inconviniance. I said that was nice of them. I even ordered more tacos to that order because they are pretty good but they messed up my order again. They left out the extra 3 steak tacos I had added to my original orde. Word to the wise, check your order before you leave that place. I gave them the benifit of the doubt and fell short. I didnt check my order before I left thinling they would get it right and nope! To top it off, I never did get that free taco I was supose to get for having to drive up theree again for messing up my order in the...
