This is going to be long winded so I apologize in advance.
Yesterday my husband and I stopped in for a Special! Which is the 10 sack of cheese sliders for $8.99 We also got a large sweet tea
And it was just as I always remember it to be. This specific location is one that I've visited throughout my life. It would be my home castle And in my opinion none of the other White castles in Indianapolis compare to this one and it's service. I have many fond memories My family and I used to stop and get White castles and go to the tibbs Drive-In It was a tradition of ours for many years, Yesterday I got to relive this tradition and I just want to say they did not disappoint!! I always ask for extra pickle on my sandwiches other White castles give you A lot of grief about this They did not They did it exactly like they always have
Side note for corporate! When we ask for extra pickle we want a bite of pickle in every bite. I personally don't feel like that's too much to ask. The pickles are delicious đ
It's always clean! The food is always right They do not discourage or give attitude when you ask for special things. They do it the way White Castle has always done it and in my opinion the right way! I was extremely satisfied with my visit and I wanted to take a couple moments of my morning to just say thank you to the team for their wonderful service!! You take pride in your job and it shows!! Better yet Let me state that it stands out It makes a huge impact Even if everyone else doesn't see it people like me appreciate it more than you know!!!! I also want to state that the manager on duty was present And she too took a lot of pride in her job!!!!
The young man working the window was very polite and patient. It started to get busy and none of them acted out stressed or annoyed!!!
So again thank you for the experience! I look forward to the...
Read moreBuns were very doughie, disappointing, it felt like they were not done. What am I supposed to do with a doughie bun? Wet buns. â The horror of the wet bun is not just the lost meal, but the structural betrayal. It is the doughy, clinging residue that follows, a constant, sticky reminder of the day the bread gave way.
doughy, lukewarm paste. All structural integrity vanished, replaced by the feel of wet tissue paper mixed with lukewarm bread.
translucent, grayish white where the bun fibers had become fully saturated with hot, salty beef drippings, clear tomato water, and the oily sheen of melted cheese. It looked less like food and more like a used, discarded poultice.
As the juices continued to permeate, a chilling physical sensation followed: the wet bun became tacky. It adhered to the skin of his thumb and forefinger with a moist, unpleasant cling, like a cheap plaster. When he tried to adjust his grip, the pulp stretchedânot snappedâcreating thin, disgusting strings of gluten that refused to let go, dragging remnants of pickle and onion with them. âThe final insult was the smell and the texture in the mouth. It lost all distinction of "bread" or "burger." It was a uniform, flavorless mass, a warm, mushy wad that offered no resistance, only the sensation of trying to chew a waterlogged sponge. The wet bun didn't just fail to hold the burger; it actively degraded the experience, injecting a pervasive, sticky horror into what was supposed to be a moment of simple carnivorous joy. It was the taste of disappointment, dissolved in beef juice.
I didn't care for it. The White Castle name excited me. Unfortunately, I was let...
Read moreHad an interview with April Shirley on August 6 at 11:30 am I came in for the interview, and Shirley was really unprepared she didnât know an interview was scheduled and she knew nothing about my skills and job history. At the beginning of the interview she came off uninterested and mind already made up. She questioned my work history not knowing it was 8 years ago when I was a teenager, she didnât introduce herself or shake my hand. I didnât like her energy and I imagine Iâm not the first to say that. After I told her I worked at White Castle in my teenage years she told me no rehires, didnât ask me how long ago I worked didnât or etc. Iâm glad I didnât get hired working with such bad energy explains why people give this place so many bad reviews. I hope higher management comes in and really review their hiring managers because anybody like this woman APRIL SHIRLEY deserves better training. Sheâs not a very good leader so you canât expect the best service at this location a follower canât expect to be a leader when she doesnât even have the qualities of a good person. After having me wait 30 mins with only 2 customers in the store she told me she couldnât interview me cause I worked here when I was a teen. Iâll be trying to apply at a...
