I used to love this place. I've been coming here for years since they cooked right in front of you and had seats at the bar. The food was great the service kind but once they felt like they were making money. They started upping the price which was fine. Supply and demand. But the women were at least nice we used to speak kind words to each other since I came every week order 2 each of the 32 oz lamb and chicken Tikas Which after a year or two ran me about $100 a week since I'm a truck driver and used them to meal prep. If they messed up my food they would usually replace it the next run. And I'd be kind about it because I knew they would own up to their mistakes. But that all went out the window. They hired more people and started staying closing later to really capitalize and that's fine too but they started skimping on ingredients using more and more yogurt to where some times the food would go in the trash because it was more like dairy soup than anything. Now you walk in you need to taste all of your food before you leave because they will not fix it next time around. and it's off taste more and more the atmosphere is no longer pleasant the lady's don't even speak though kudos to you for losing weight well! But your food, attitude and customer service is off. The atmosphere is no longer a vibe next time I'm gonna try the rest of the food around there to see if my business will be more appreciated elsewhere, And if the food is good I will return. Also tell the young light skinned lady to cover her mouth when she's coughing it's extremely rude not to do so. Especially when your handling food. I did not feel happy walking out of there. I gave 3 stars because the last 3 times I drove out of my way to get food it was bad and the mistakes were plentiful. 4 star for service because the male was nice this time and 1 star for atmosphere because the woman I've been buying from for years looked me right in the eye and said nothing no smile dead face. Even though I allowed them to cheat me out of food they owed me because she felt like it was a long time ago but you knew me by name, face and phone number. But I'm not going to trip over...
Read moreI have been here few times . No doubt, food is great ! Authenticated Indian food . Main issue is customer service . Al the people who work there needs to learn how to treat customers well and provide the service they pay.
They have no smile on face . They don’t greet customers . You have to make sure you have to raise your hand to ask for your food and water. Lot of truck drivers eat at this place which is a sign of good food ! I wish they work on their customer service, communications and interaction with the customers !
It’s America where restaurants are know for its services. Where your servers make sure you got the right food and then confirms you liked the food and makes sure they did not miss anything . Over here you have to ask where your food is and when is it coming. And you get looks from the people working over their and you made any mistake ! . So smiling, greeting customer paying proper attention to what they are ordering and what they need with suggestions will not hurt you ! On the other hand Better service with proper communication will bring more people to the restaurant. !!!!
Not every person walks over there Speaks Punjabi or Hindi . I can’t write long story here. Customer who was eating there knew only English and he met me outside restaurant. I asked him about his experience . His concerns was that customer service and language was big barrier to get what he wanted !
So it was not only me but other customers had same experience.
Quality of food 5 stars Customer...
Read moreThis WAS 1 of my 2 Indianapolis spots I eat at when near the restaurant. I'm Indian myself and I love eating Indian food but I just had a bad experience which might keep me from coming back. I'm a truck driver and this restuarant is right next to Pilot truck stop so I always stop here. I ordered my food and they lady that took my order said "it will be 10 mins" so I walked to the truck stop real quick thinking my food would be done when I got back but it wasn't which was fine because I know it takes a little time with Indian food but after 45 mins of waiting and 3 different people dining in get their food before me when I ordered 1st, I was fed up and told them "cancel my order, I want my money back". They tell me my ordering is coming out now and somehow my order comes out. I tell them I don't want it, I WANT MY MONEY BACK. They tell me I have $2 off and I can get the food or they keep the food and half my money, mind you I paid $20 because they can't waste the food. As I go back and forth with them, they offer $4 off. I told them either I get ALL MY MONEY TODAY or I get it another day. Finally a customer chimes in and convinces me to just take the food and $4, so I do it. All of this could've been avoided if I was told at some point and time that there was very large order before mine. 2 things to take away from this: DO NOT PAY before you get your food and ASK if they have any large orders...
