Would give 2 1/2 stars if possible. Visited for the first time yesterday night around 7 o'clock for dinner. Group of four adults plus my 2 year old daughter. Seated ourselves which I think is normal, waited about ten minutes to even be greeted by anybody. Finally our waitress came over and asked what we would like to drink, one of my friends asked what was on tap and instead of saying anything the waitress just handed her a drink menu and didn't say a word, like it was a hassle or something. Usually a waitress knows what's on tap so it shouldn't be an issue to just answer the question. I ordered a bloody mary which was decently good, I liked that the beer back was a cute little bottled beer. Asked for a orange juice for my daughter twice and never received it. I started to think our waitress must be new or something which is understandable but I would think that after having to ask twice for a juice that she would have made it a priority. Average wait time for the food. I got a burger which was very good! Definitely enjoyed it. Added a side of fries and gravy, and it was literally the smallest portion of fries I've ever got at any restaurant which I found surprising because they were served with a pretty big cup of gravy, so i think maybe they just skimped me on accident..? Also there is no kids menu, or at least I couldn't find it if there was. So I just ordered my daughter a side of broccoli with hollandaise sauce and figured I would just share my food with her. The broccoli came plain with no sauce. Not a huge deal but when I got my bill I was charged the price for broccoli with hollandaise and when I mentioned it to the waitress, she for one- didn't even apologize or anything that my order had came out wrong, and when I asked her if I could just be charged for plain broccoli since that is what I received, she told me that it is the same charge. So I guess to add hollandaise sauce to anything at this place it's free...? Good to know 😂 Lastly, I wanted to try a drink on their menu listed as a "big drink", it was a mango long island. But I figured it would be pretty spendy so I asked the waitress if I could just get a regular long island, ya know like at any other bar around the cities in a regular sized bar glass that usually ranges anywhere from 5-7 dollars, because I didn't need a "big" one. But I was told that if I wanted a regular long island it would be 10 dollars, the same price as the mango long island that supposedly had mango puree added. So I guess mango puree is also a free addition to a drink? I was just so confused. I've never been to a bar that won't serve just a regular long island instead of a jumbo sized one. I figured since they would apparently both be ten dollars that I might as well try the mango one. Which when it arrived it really wasn't even a long island at all. Looked back at the drink menu and noticed that it was only vodka and malibu rum in the drink, so I'm soooo confused on why it's called a long island. Overall it was just a weird experience, my burger was great though. Maybe I would try again and just hope for a different server, thinking that may have been part of...
Read moreThis is an updated review: The new patio is now open and absolutely fabulous! Bartender Jamie was totally in her element. We loved how she greeted every single customer who arrived as if she was waiting all day just for them to show up! What a terrific bartender! She made everyone feel special. We've been coming here more often since retirement. We've never had a bad meal or bad service. You can't go wrong with any of their burgers, and the Philly wontons for an appetizer are the best! They still have pot roast on the menu for a couple different options, but I wish they'd bring back the loaded pot roast dinner. Food portions are still more than adequate. We always get an app, then split an entree or burger and one side. That way we don't have to take home leftovers.
Old review, 5 years ago: We live just a few minutes from this place and normally just stop in for a burger and beer maybe a couple of times a year when we have a Groupon, which has always been decent. But, today, we decided to try them for dinner when we noticed online that they kind of changed up their menu.
The big theme on their menu is pot roast. We started with the margharita flat bread for an appetizer. I loved it! Husband was kinda, "eh". But, I thought it was great. Nice amount of fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinegar. Could have used a little more tomatoes, but still very good.
So on to the pot roast. Hubby ordered the hot beef with au jus. I had the loaded pot roast. Plus the sweet tater tots with Chipotle sauce. Wow, every single thing was excellent and more than generous portions! The Chipotle sauce for the tater tots was quite spicy. Excellent with a cold beer. But the amount of pot roast served with both meals was unbelievable and delicious and unexpected! This was the best home cooked meal from a restaurant we've had in years! And, we each only ate half of our meals, so leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
Plus the service was great! We will definitely be back for dinner soon and without a Groupon. It was worth every penny even without a discount! Hats off to the chef and looking forward to trying some of the other menu items. I never knew bar food could be so good! But then again, like I said, this was a home cooked meal, not your...
Read morewell I was here about a month ago for a dinner show, and I ordered a burger and fries, well the server brought the food but no silverware or napkins, I had to eat the fries first before I finally got silver ware for it.
so then tonight I went back and there was a 6.00 cover to go in, and I arrived at 9:45 and sat at a table for 45 minutes without having a server come to take my order. I went to the bar to get a glass of sprite, and the owner was the bartender and he helped me. I asked how late the grill was opened and he told me 11 pm. So I ordered chicken strips and fries, he said he would have a server put in an order for it. He brought my food about 15 minutes later, and the food was plentiful and hot. I then waited until about 11:45 and had to go back up to the bar to get a refill on sprite. The owner helped me again, and I again told him that server hasn't been over to my table yet. he said he was sorry and went on to his next customer , so I just picked up and left the bar dissatisfied and it would be a long time before I would go back there, I recommend to stay away from here because of the terrible service and not just once for me, but I learned my...
