If you are into aviation or WWII history, I definitely recommend a visit. This is a working aircraft hangar where they shelter, maintain and restore vintage military aircraft, with about 5 specimens. The area has a history of training pilots in WWII and they have some small but well-done exhibits on this. Near the entrance there are a few display cases like a small museum. There is also a flight simulator where you can try your hand. The star of the place is the B-25 Miss Mitchell. This is an airworthy plane; depending on what maintenance is happening, they may let you poke your head in or climb just inside for a look at the interior. On our visit, we got a tour and description of the aircraft and exhibits. There was no entry fee, but there is a donation box near the entrance - I strongly encourage dropping a few bills. There is also a small gift shop. My 8-year old son had a blast and even my 10-year old little girl thought it a good visit. It is an active hangar, so you will need to keep a close eye on little ones; it's not a place where you can let...

This place is amazing. Hands down the best ww2 Museum in Mn. Is Museum big no. But still a lot of stuff to look at. It's in a hanger. And you have a whole bunch of people working on planes and stuff which is so much fun. they're so friendly. you get to go up to the Planes and actually get inside some of them. you get to know all the history from the peopleworking there.. Besides just reading and looking at artifacts. This experience was amazing. I've never been able to go to Museum and actually be able to touch stuff and be able to be that close and look inside of an airplane. Miss Mitchell is amazing she...

Entering the CAF hanger is like traveling back to the 1940's, you are greeted by classic WWII aircrafts and artifacts from the golden era of aviation. The staff is very friendly and will stop what they are doing to answer any questions and show you around the hanger, it shows their passion and love for aviation. The PX within the hanger is a cool place to to shop, there are vintage memorabilia from aircraft spark plugs, airplane models, and clothing. Check them out you won't be disappointed you'll walk out with a smile and the kids will be grinning...
