We drove out to Normangee to pickup our son after a sleep over. By chance, we drove by Iola Donuts on the way home, they were open and I was out of excuses to not try them.

We walked in, bought donuts for the family and on our way out, the man behind the counter stopped us. He offered us a free apple fritter as we were leaving.

I'm in the middle of reading Unreasonable Hospitality, so maybe it's just good timing. But maybe this place has something special.
