Finkbine Golf Course — Restaurant in Iowa City

Nice course and in good shape but staff kind of ruined it for me. Asked us what our handicap was. We said we shoot in mid to high 80's. Looked at me and literally said "So your not very good, so I suggest playing from the white and gray tees." Such a friendly start. Got stopped twice to say we were not playing fast enough. We told them we can't when there is a foursome ahead of us that we are waiting for. And we still did 18 in under 4 hours...lol. Never been treated by staff like that anywhere before and that includes TPC courses. ...

Staff was not polite at all. We had booked two tee times for 5 people. They said we could tee off early and play as 5 if we kept pace. Got told twice we weren't keeping pace and had to let a group play through and split us up. We finished our nine holes within 2 hours of our tee times while being stopped twice and waiting 10 minutes for a group to play through. Had a horrible experience and couldn't even...

Good course and interesting layout! We played about 2 weeks ago and the only complaint my group had was that the beverage cart girls would automatically tip themselves 20% on the iPad tip screen before flipping it back to us, which is not right. We watched her do this both times we ordered from the bev cart. It should be the customer that selects the tip amount, not staff. I hope this can be corrected...
