Cute place, it's close to my house so it's nice to walk here for a quick snack during the day. I do enjoy this place a lot! The ambiance is wonderful- they have the cutest decor. But there are a couple factors that keep me from giving more stars. No outlets. There's only a few tables with outlets. This is not the fault of the staff, but if you're coming here to study keep this in mind. Tables and book shelves are VERY close together. It's hard to browse the books because you really invade the space of the other patrons. It can also get very noisy. The book selection is a bit limited. Seems like it's geared mostly to young adults and children. They've got a great selection of children's books, however! The food is expensive and the coffee is okay. Its nothing exceptional, in my opinion. The baristas seem a bit inexperienced. Every time I've ordered a cappuccino, they've given me a latte. It's not the biggest deal in the world, but when I order something I would like to get what I paid for, especially. The tea is very good, however.
All in all, though, this is a very nice establishment and very family friendly. Great spot to take the kids. They also host birthday parties, which I thought was lovely! Still worth a visit, even with all the things...
Read moreI have been to this spot twice now, with the first time getting coffee cake and a cold brew, then the second time getting a monster cookie and a pour over dark roast coffee.
My first time being there, they mentioned that the coffee cake was fresh and still warm, which it was when I got a slice of it. The slice was HUGE, but delicious. The cold brew I got was out of the tap they have behind the counter (both cold brew and nitro brew is offered), and it needed no creamer or sugar, as it was a very smooth brew.
The second time being there just this morning, I got the monster cookie and the pour over dark roast. The pour over was made to perfection, offering the boldness yet smooth taste that I could drink just black. They offered to warm up my cookie, to which I replied "yes, please" and warm it was. Overall with both experiences I have had a nice time there.
One thing I wish and seeing on reviews is that there is no WiFi, and it is a definite cell phone dead zone. I don't mind that there isn't WiFi or service, but at least have a sign up on the intention of not offering WiFi so customers aren't taken by surprise. Other than that, it is a solid spot for good coffee and...
Read moreSpacious coffee shop with great coffee options and delicious snacks! I'm from out of town and came here with a friend who's local. The coffee shop is really spacious which is great if you come with your family or a group. There are couches you can read and hang out.
There's no wifi and that's intentional. I actually like this! It's nice to be in a coffee shop and see people having a conversation and not all trying to avoid interacting with another human. I used to live in NYC and it was quite common for coffee shops to not have wifi. Honestly, if you want to have wifi, then get a data plan that allows tethering, or go to another coffee shop!
I had the chocolate biscotti and a latte, both delicious! Although I was tempted by the quiche which looked equally delicious. They are happy to warm up items as well, which adds to the charm of the place!
The walls are lined with books available for purchase, but also great for browsing if you have kids. Also, there are cute cubbies towards the front which kids can curl up in and read. Highly recommend...
