The Carney Tap — Restaurant in Iowa

We have seen Carney Tap many times, and finally stopped. Cute bar, decent prices and the male bartender was awesome. (Owner maybe?) There were 3 older ladies at the end of the bar. Possibly the regular single bar flies? They took most of the attention of the female bartender (who actually seemed buzzed or drunk herself) and were loud, yelling and often walked behind the bar to try to touch on the male bartender. The female bartender at one point tried putting her hands in his pocket as well. The old bar fly women were pretty much allowed to be behind the bar, attempt to constantly grope the bartender and the female bartender was pumping clearly very drunk women full of more and more shots. But then again, may have been hard for the female bartender to maintain control if youre working and taking shots with customers nonstop. Male bartender finally told the old bar flies to stay out from behind the bar (after allowing them to do so many times. The rest of the customers seemed great. Overall, great bar, decent crowd, just loud cackling older women at the end of the bar were like nails on a chalkboard, and made it hard for any conversation because they were so loud and needed constant babysitting by staff.. Male bartender was super nice. We will try again but if the older loud ladies are always there, this may not.be a regular...

Never had a bartender treat us with so much disrespect after spending hundreds of $$ there on Saturday May 20th! Dark haired female who slang the F word at us as she served our drinks! Also enjoyed watching her text on her phone as we tried getting her attention to give her and the establishment more $$ while she made us her last priority. She said she worked there for 13 years, well maybe it's time for a new occupation because her customer service was the worst. Needless to say we will never contribute a dime and tell others to do the same! Btw it gets...
