The Stand — Restaurant in Iron Ridge

The Stand is the most awesome, friendly, and delicious, little ice cream stands around Dodge County! Located in the small town of Iron Ridge, Wisconsin, it is definitely a must stop for family to stop at for a super delicious & homemade custard dish or cone! I personally am a huge fan of the chocolate ice cream, and hot fudge sundaes they have, they truly are one of the best I have ever had so far in my 32 years of life anyhow! The vanilla is just as delicious however if you don't prefer chocolate. They also have a big selection of shakes and concrete mixers with the best toppings like Heath, Cookie Dough, etc. I cannot forget too mention that they have some super, super, delicious food as well! My personal favorite food is the homemade pizza at "The Stand"! They also have great burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, and most traditional food at a small restaurant would have, but at very fair prices! I will close my review with saying my final decision for giving "The Stand" a full 5 stars other than how great there food is. Is because the customer service is without a question, the best you can get. My girlfriend, her 11 year old daughter, and I lived in Iron Ridge for only a little over a year but we always went here for take out and were greeted like we have known the owners for years! I just placed an order and the girl who answered the phone and read back my order, she talked so fast she sounded like blah blah blah blah blah. I understand it gets busy but slow down a little bit. And every time I order a malt, they make a shake. I don't think these young people here know what a malt is and that they have to add it. I just came home with a cheeseburger and cheese fries, some onion rings and what is supposed to be a chocolate malt with extra malt. All of the food is soggy. You need to get rid of those styrofoam containers. You cannot put steaming hot food let alone fried food in a styrofoam container and expect it not to get soggy. And for the fourth time in a row I received a chocolate shake instead of a chocolate malt. The young lady with the red hair and glasses seem to be completely confused working. She then brought the food to my car and brought it to my passenger window as if that street was busy which is never and I had to lean way over to put down the window so she could hand it to me. I've worked and lived in this area for close to 15 years and never stopped in here, don't know why. Well I stopped in today and had a delicious fish fry basket and now I wonder what I've been missing. There is a larger variety of food and treats than I thought including pizza and burgers.
