My friends & I were in town for Ironton Wizardfest & decided to try this location based on positive reviews & variety of food options. We chose to sit at the bar hoping there were theme drinks for the event. A tall male bartender with dark hair eventually took our order- he only seemed to be half listening since he had an earbud in & got our first drink order wrong. We decided to deal with it & drink our 1st round so we could get the drinks we wanted for 2nd round. He never mentioned drink specials they had going on even though we asked if they were doing anything for Wizardfest. We waited about 20 mins for our pizza then didn’t get our appetizers since it got ran to the wrong table- again the bartender didn’t communicate. He just had us waiting longer & once we realized what happened we asked another bartender to get everything off our order except what we had received (thankfully she helped get it sorted out so we could leave). Overall, the service was very poor due to the male bartender’s lack of hospitality & communication. Only bad experience I had during my...
Read moreIf you’re choosing this restaurant for a quick bite I would highly advise you to choose elsewhere. Prepare yourself for the lackluster drink service of which you will be waiting 15 plus minutes for along with the equally dismal 40 minutes to receive a simple fried appetizer. Top that off with another 40 plus minutes to receive a simple burger which likely has been sitting in a warmer for half that time. All the meantime you sit at a table with no explanation or even apology as to the lack of timely service. Oh, and while you have been enduring your exorbitant wait you may find yourself needing to relieve yourself. If so enjoy the restroom which will greet you with the wonderful enveloping smell of sewer gas. This once may have been a decent place to dine, but if so it has fallen far from its once decent facade. Please take my advice and save...
Read moreI stopped in on Sunday to have a beer with some friends. This was my second visit to this location, and I remember enjoying the food the first time. They have a decent selection of beers, but it’s not extensive enough for a beer snob like me. I noticed they had Jackie O’s on tap, so I asked if they ever got any of their barrel-aged beers. The bartender mentioned they had Ricky, which is not a barrel-aged beer at all; in fact, it's the complete opposite of a barrel-aged stout or barley wine.
I love the concept of this restaurant and will definitely return. However, I would visit more often if they offered a few more specialty beers, such as barrel-aged beers from local breweries. If you’re new to craft beer, you’ll have no problem finding something you like here. But if you’re looking for something more exciting, you might be a bit underwhelmed...
