Rax — Restaurant in Ironton

It had been at least 15 years since I had a Rax BBC (bacon beef and cheddar) sandwich. I saw this Rax and had to give it a try. So worth it!! It was just how I remembered growing up. Don't get me wrong I'm a lover of the competitions roast beef burgers but no one can come close to the Rax BBC. Perfectly cooked thin sliced roast beef and Perfectly fried bacon smothered in liquid cheddar cheese on that soft springy sub like bun. So delicious and this location made it just right. Not only was my sandwich amazing but my curly fries were perfect too. Not fried to hard and seasoned just right. It was a great trip and flash into the past for me with every bite. It makes me wish the location near my home town Pikeville Kentucky hadn't closed down. I wish they would bring it back that would be awesome. Anyways thank you Rax and staff at this location for giving me amazing food and super friendly service at a price that didn't break my bank....

As the last remaining Rax I try to do my part to keep this location open. It's very much like Arby's, only 100% better. They butter and toast their buns on most of their sandwiches which adds a little something that's always missing from Arby's roast beef sandwiches. Also, with everything going up in price, Arby's is getting too bougie for me. I've enjoyed everything I've ever gotten at Rax from their regular roast beef sandwiches, BBQ beef sandwiches, chicken tenders, fries, onion rings, and cheese sticks. Saw a billboard on end of town saying RAX 10 tenders for $8.00. So I had to check it out and I was not disappointed. They handed me a bag with bbq sauce and a box of tenders. At first I thought they had a lot of bbq sauce in the bag it was heavy. Turns out the tenders were thick. Man they were good. I've been driving by for 2 months and hadn't stopped yet.
