Ciro’s Pizza in Irving is hands down one of my favorite local spots! Their pizza crust is perfect — crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside. The toppings are always top quality, and you can taste the freshness in every bite. Their pasta dishes are just as good — the meat sauce is delicious, the fettuccine is fantastic, and their garlic toast is honestly addictive. More than once I’ve ordered just because I was craving that toast!
They also make great subs (hot or cold), and the pizza by the slice is a great deal for lunch or a quick, easy dinner. This is strictly a pickup or delivery spot — no real dine-in — but that’s fine with me because the food travels so well.
The building itself is old and a little worn down, but you can tell the owners put so much heart into keeping things nice. They always have flowers and plants out front, and you can see they care about presenting their best with what they have. That effort shows not just in the atmosphere, but in the food and service too.

A good slice is difficult to find in the Irving/Grapevine area, but this is the place. Ciro's isn't exactly New York style, but the older couple that runs this little place definitely know what New York style taste and texture should be, and what they're going for is very close (leaning more toward Queens style than Brooklyn style for those that know what that means).
The atmosphere inside is exactly what it looks like from the outside, it is clean, but very cramped; ideal for take out or a very quick lunch break, not dining in. Delivery appears to be third-party (grubhub, ubereats, etc.), I wouldn't order delivery, but that's because I'm personally biased against third-party delivery (I think they all suck).
I'm a pizza snob, whenever I am in the area for work and I need a slice, this...
