Fruteria Sonrisas #2 — Restaurant in Irving

I had been here once before and had forgotten it was this place until I walked out today. Bad experiences both times.

First time, while I was waiting for a juice a gentleman walked in to buy nachos and an older lady employee who was prepping his nachos. After pouring the cheese on the chips she was cleaning off the cheese from the edge of the plate with her finger and licking it off her finger did it all over the plate. Disgusting! Today I totally forgot it was this place from last visit as it was dark. I went for a bionico and they just gave me a fruta con crema. I specifically asked if they had bionicos which they said yes, a bionico is like the fruta con crema but the bionico comes with apples, granola, coconut, pineapple, banana & pecans on top of a variety of other fruits. This place upcharges for mango, pineapple pecans and did not have apples. They said I could only pick one from the granola, coconut or pecans but couldn't choose all 3. The bionicos typically have all 3. I chose pecans and there was an upcharge. Really? They charged me $12 for a small container of fruit. Other fruterias have the bionicos, same size with all included for half the price. Never again will I go to this place. The crema is overly sweet, it is meant for the fresas con crema as the strawberries are more acidic, but it is not well balanced for a bionico. Plenty of other fruterias in Irving this...

They have a number that your suppose to call but we assumed you could also text it. The lady inside saw us in the car and still dint bother to come say anything and we cant go inside. So wasted time parked outside thinking that they were getting our order ready. Awful customer service. Y’all should specify that it’s call ONLY and if y’all see people outside looking in maybe...
