McDonald's — Restaurant in Ishpeming

1 star for the burgers & fries being warm NOT hot. 1 star for polite cashier. They lost 3 stars because 1. As we went to fill our pop, get ketchup, & napkins it was ridiculous one ice chute was out or clogged (not a big deal) but the mess! There was spilt pop all over the friging place! We got it on our coats leaning over to get the ketchup despite trying not to. We didnt want to put our pop cups down because it was wet everywhere! 2. A lady was going around people EATING and mopping under their chairs and under their table as far as she could push the mop! You could see the looks from surprise to disgust on some peoples faces then as she got closer to us I could tell she intended to do the same to us but I stopped her. I as a customer had to tell her not to mop around us as we were eating. (This is against osha standards as it is. The only thing you can use around customers is one of those sweepers non motorized that sweeps the dirt into a contained compartment) obviously she was never told. 3. Then this same lady walks by us (near the trash cans) with this filthy metal thing with a handle about the length of the standard cane, she goes over to the trash cans puts her hands in the can after she pulled it out of the container, mind you she has NO gloves on, grabs that metal thing and begins to slam and smash the trash down (explains what the gross build up is on the bottom bars of that thing) then goes over to a table behind us where a customer got up and left (yes look of disgust on his face) and grabs the salt & pepper shakers and places them to the back of the table (remember she just had her bare hands INSIDE the TRASH! She goes back and removes the trash bag. We were so disgusted throughout our meal we ate in disgust me trying not to think about all the germs this lady was spreading all over tje place and we both touched the shakers. If wondering why we continued to eat...it was because we had not eaten since 7am we were very hungry and thirsty and would not be home for several more hours. And we had already began to eat so what ever germs she had spread, was already past the point of avoiding them. This was the Ishpeming one on hwy 41. Last time they forgot one sandwich through the drivethrough, before that I've cold fries and wrong sandwich. We are done there! And I dont like their new menu it is digital and the cashier was polite as we had to wait for the menu to come back on and look fast before it disappeared again for pictures. If you go there check your order before you drive off and insist on FRESH HOT fries and burgers. Hopefully you'll be...

Sry, this is a long one... This McDonald's always messes up our order without fail. Recently we had 2 coupons for free meals because they kept messing up. '1 coupon per person per visit' it said specifically. The guy argued only 1 coupon per car, but then told us to pull forward & apply coupons at the window, then again he tried to say we couldn't use more than one. I quoted the coupon phrasing to him & he read it. Another staff member came over to read it as well. Smh.

We got our order thankfully & checked to make sure everything item was in there before leaving. I took a quick half second peek at my fiance's burger inside the bag just to make sure there was none of the toppings he hates on it, which is usually the issue. We drove away. Long ways down the road, my fiance asked me what was missing from our burgers & I gasped. I opened my bacon quarter pounder with cheese and there was no bacon on it. I literally ONLY ordered it for the bacon (I never order quarter pounders because I like the big macs) & I could see he was clearly mad (he's the nicest guy ever & usually neverrrr is mad). We ate our food mostly in silence, and then we debated calling them again. With the hassle they gave us we decided not to. We doubted there'd be much they could do anyway except apologize.

It ruined the good day we were having 1st by making us have to argue our coupons (that made us feel crummy), 2nd by messing up an order that was free in the 1st place because of all their other mistakes A LOT bigger than forgetting bacon (Usually my fiance can't eat his burger at all when they put certain toppings on it like tiny chopped onions or mustard- he just cant stand them for some reason- so he gives his lunch away to me when they mess up), and 3rd by just not being courteous to us & careful with our order for once.

Since they are the only McDonald's located between here & where I visit family, from now I on I will be "fully" opening all the sandwiches on the dash and comparing to the receipt & order papers. They're going to be correcting things for us on the spot every time. Not gunna waste any more $ on messed up food. They're going to learn it the hard way I...

I haven't been to McDonald's in a long time. I think their prices have increased a little too high for sub-standard food. However. During a rainy motorcycle trip, we stopped in the Ishpeming McDonald's. We were graciously welcomed (dripping wet mind you) by a lady who has worked at McDonald's for 32 years. 27 years at that same store. Incredible. Unheard of by today's employment standards. She took care of us like we were her own. We dripped water all over the floor from the front door to the back. She happily mopped up after us. I then had a Big Mac and fries that reminded me of the first time I had one. The bun was soft yet toasted perfectly. The meat was seasoned nicely and hot. The Mac sauce was perfect. The lettuce fresh. The fries were perfect. The facilities were clean and working properly. If all McDonald's held themselves to Ishpeming's standard, I wouldn't complain about the price....
