Rosarito Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Isla Vista

I eat at this place often, about two times per week. The low prices, passable burritos and convenience are what keep me coming back. They also offer $5.95 burritos on Wednesdays as a special deal to bring in more customers. I thought this was pretty cool at first, but after consistently taking them up on their special Wednesday deal, I started to realize that my $5.95 burritos were tragically diminutive, and were scaled down proportionally with their reduced price. The Wednesday burrito deal is a scam and I have lost a lot of respect for this place and its employees. I was eating my burrito and was disgusted that someone put old/cold fries in the middle of it. I hope that this was not intentional but the rest of my order seemed fine so I am unsure. Considering that fact that I did not add fries at all to my order it is extremely disturbing that this was added. It was even worse that that the fries were obviously old because they were very cold and hard. This absolutely disgusting and has made me very weary about eating here. Always an issue when ordering with these people. What place doesn’t allow you to order a item on the menu because “they’re making chips”. They refused to make my food because they insisted they needed the fryer for chips. If this place were anywhere else it wouldn’t last. They’re only thriving because of this college town.
