Been ordering from Luisa’s for years been excellent. But last 2 times very disappointing. Getting orders wrong ordered baked Gnocchi and got baked Ziti. Not sure how you mistake the sound of those 2 The margarita pie has been the best anywhere but this time it was horrible came with no fresh basil. The dough was chewy and super dense like it was not proofed properly. The taste was nothing like we remember it used to be very sweet fresh garlicky taste but now was covered with the minced garlic from a jar which has a very unique after taste. Not good we couldn’t even eat it. Veal Parm sandwich came on pizza dough bread??? They claim to now use homemade bread I’m sorry homemade Italian or semolina bread is not a blob of cooked pizza dough cut in half, terrible texture very dense pizza dough does not make a good sandwich. Also ordered a buffalo burrata Salad and I got it with cooked chicken on it which I did not order and the hot chicken made all the lettuce and cold items in the salad hot and wilted. So disappointed I did not call to complain but after 10 years of eating there and $80 it’s just not worth it when only 1 item was ok to eat . Everything is just going down hill the quality of products and services. Take out almost everywhere is very...
Read moreI ordered through DoorDash and I am so happy I did! Some of the Italian places around here are okay but not great, Luisa’s Pizza definitely impressed me! I ordered 2 orders of the fried ravioli bolongese, lava cake and a tiramisu. Although there might have been a mix up with my order not receiving one the ravioli bolongese, I STILL am so glad I tried this location! The fried ravioli was amazing and came with really really good bread and nice spring mix side salad featuring some balsamic vinaigrette. The tiramisu was perfect (I can’t believe how fast I gobbled it down) with the texture being moist and a great ratio of sweetness. They sell tres leche sliced cake and honestly I will try it ONLY from this Italian place just due to how great this tiramisu was. The lava cake was awesome and obviously packed with sugar lol! I had to google this place to see what it looked like and sometimes the fancy restaurants are outdone by a smaller mom & pops type location such as this. The quality is here and thank you Luisa’s Pizza for doing such a great job. Will be ordering...
Read moreI just want a good buffalo chicken wrap. I tried out Luisas and the first time the wrap was almost perfect, perfect ratio of lettuce, tomato and perfectly sauced buffalo chicken. The biggest downfall was they grilled the wrap after assembly causing the lettuce and tomato's to turn to a goopy mess. unfortunately this was enough to make the wrap pretty unappetizing and left uneaten.
This time I requested the wrap be served cold. I noticed they still grilled the underside and I figured no big deal, they probably did it to seal it. Bite into the thing and there is a sprinkle of lettuce, hunks of warm mushy tomatos and way too much chicken! PLEASE STOP GRILLING WRAPS WITH LETTUCE! lettuce should not be warmed, it turns goopy and gross :(
Brooklyn square up the road gives you a wrap full of barely sauced chicken and a sprinkle of soggy old lettuce and mushy tomatoes. Literally inedible.
I think I need to be in hoboken to secure a solid COLD wrap with...
