Mangia was always our go to for pizza but unfortunately we will not be ordering from there ever again. We placed an order had it delivered. I can clearly see and hear the delivery guy throwing F bombs as he was walking toward my door. He then hands over the food with an attitude saying “just to let you know the next time you call us we will not be delivering to your house “ without any explanation .
I was very confused as to what was going on. I called the restaurant to see why this had happened. They told me the delivery guy was upset because we didn’t leave a tip . We always leave a tip , it happened to be this one day they did not ask after taking our order , we forgot and get treated this way ?! Never again
I then demanded a call from management. I received a call owner , the conversation started out what seemed to be ok . He offered a discount or my money back I said no because I would not be going back.
He also stated things would be taken care of on his end etc . I did not want any of it , what I wanted was respect and acknowledgment of how his employees are treating people because at that point it wasn’t about the money or food.
How dare any delivery driver go to someone’s home with an attitude problem while delivering their food ? He could have clearly asked nicely and we would have gave him his tip, conversation escalated with the owner because he wasn’t getting it either . Then he was defending the fact that the delivery driver is young and shouldn’t be asking for a tip , he’s in Tough business with multiple drivers every month etc . The conversation escalated again and he hung up on me . I called back and said “I changed my mind i would like my money back “ He then got upset because I asked for my money back and told me I was taking food off his family’s table, I then said ok you won’t miss my $20 I would like my money back. Convo again escalated and he hung up again to text me and tell me I treated him unfair , how about our treatment over a tip ? Is that not unfair ???
All this over a tip! I will never be going there neither will my family or friends
Here’s a tip… hire people with dignity and respect . There are plenty of “young”people with that and more in today’s world.
No one will disrespect me and my family at my door especially over a ridiculous reason and you responding to this review isn’t going to change my mind but I hope it changes the way you...
Read moreJackson store, 6/27/20 order number 184,6:00PM taken by Jay. Telephone ordered 1 Veal Marsala with spaghetti along with 1 Lasagna. Sat in the parking lot patiently and waited. The order came out and it turned out to be Chicken Marsala. The deliverer said she would have them correct it but didn’t bother to ask if the pasta was correct, key to point two. We waited patiently and when the the Veal Marsala came out it had penne for the Pasta instead of spaghetti. She offered to change it again but after waiting over an hour and well after 7:00PM we just had enough and took it. Totally pist off I called and asked to speak to the person who took the order and he told me he screwed up and offered to supposedly deliver to our house not knowing if we were in delivery range which means we would be eating well after 8:00PM and I would have to MICROWAVE the lasagna, I declined the he said he would issue us a credit and when I started to reply he disconnected me. This is what happens when you employ kids in key jobs to save money. And taking orders while only allowed to do take out is a critical job, the order taker is like the quarterback. Also with a point of sale system really hard to screw unless the order taker isn’t paying attention. It’s gets worse, when my wife began to eat the Veal Marsala the penne was soggy and the veal was mushy.. it was uneatable an awful is being kind! The stay cats outside turned it down! We usually get take out two to three times a month, and order the lasagna which was good. Right know I won’t be coming back until I get a credit for the Veal Marsala portion of my bill on my credit card. The point of sale system would retain the order number my, credit card number and phone number, I hope the owner does the right thing and issues me a credit that is if he doesn’t let a kid handle it! Nothing against kids but this was a total debacle. I hope ownership steps up. Silence and inaction by ownership will be self...
Read moreI recently ordered chicken wings for delivery and was disappointed to find a piece of hair in them. It was a very unpleasant and unappetizing experience. I immediately called to voice my concerns and was met with an apology and a $20 credit. However, my disappointment continued when I ordered the wings again several weeks later and found another piece of hair. At that point, I didn't even bother to complain because I have lost all trust in this establishment. It's clear that they need to implement proper hygiene measures, such as hair nets, to prevent this from happening again. Needless to say, I will not be ordering from them again.
In response to this post.. As a repeat customer of Mangia’s, my intention was simply to share my experience. Unfortunately, this is the second occurrence & felt the need to bring this to your attention in (hopes) of raising awareness. Unless Mangia is serving some hybrid version of chicken (lol)… I can only assume that the average consumer would be able to distinguish the difference between human hair, chicken skin & or hair…. Moving forward, we can only wish to see more accountability on Mangia’s end, rather than viewing our feedback as a (personal attack) on this establishment. Which I emphasize (IS NOT) the intention here… As someone who has also faced (financial struggles), it is disappointing to spend money on food that cannot be consumed. I sincerely wish Mangia future success & hope this will be taken into consideration… Thank you and have a...
