First let me mention what we ordered to start this off, my wife and I both ordered the same thing, Western Omelet with cheese hash browns white toast, 2 coffees and a large glass of milk, seems easy. Wife’s coffee was hot, mine wasn’t even close to hot, warm at best, seems impossible but true. Waitress brought milk for coffee that we didn’t ask for instead of large glass of milk, the western omelet was so thin it was like 2 sheets of paper, plus there was no cheese! The toast had literally NO butter what so ever! I suppose you have to specify which potato you want because apparently hash browns and home fries are two different things at this place, I wanted home fries. Waitress never once check in with us, I called her over to get the check and explained my situation, she apologized of course, if you have to apologize to a customer means you didn’t do your job correctly in my world, language barrier maybe? Not paying attention? New to the job? I still gave her a tip, $7.00 because I felt sorry for her on a $37.00 ticket which in my book was only worth $15 at most. Every time we come here it seems the portions get smaller and different (I get the same thing for breakfast most of the time), the cook today really knows how to cut back, no butter, no cheese, barely toast the bread (electricity) and one warm coffee. There version of biscuits and gravy isn’t what it’s supposed to be by far either, 2 tablespoons of gravy at most on what looked like a English muffin with a small piece of sausage, just saying. Not going here again even though it’s real close to home, Sandy’s cozy corner in Lakehurst next time!! The food and the sausage gravy with biscuits is...
Read moreWas looking forward to having a good diner on the other side of Jackson but it's sad to say my family did not enjoy the diner. It lacks good customer service, food quality and overall that diner experience. We sat down and did not receive napkins and utensils until our food was already sitting on the table for 2 minutes. The one woman (not our waitress) that came over to our table a few times to chit chat, couldn't even supply us our utensils seeing that we did not have them nor place mats. There were other waitresses or workers just sitting at the counter on there phones, when there are things customers need, should have helped fellow waiters to make sure all customers were satisfied. I had to get up several times just to get my son a water, get my husband sugar and get myself splenda. When you see customers sitting at the table not eating you should always see if they need boxes, since 2 of us did not finish and had full plates of food still. We recieved our check only a few minutes after we got our food, to me that is rushing it. And $50 for the quality of our meals was not helping our experience. Unfortunately i feel young adults lack in customer service these days. Im only writing this review in hopes they read it and can improve in the areas i felt they lacked. I always hope for new businesses to succeed and if early on have issues, are able to fix them. I know the women next to us were there for the second time and had great food the first time but did not enjoy their food the second time. Not sure if its the chef but food quality can definitely be improved. Good luck to the owners of...
Read moreSo I’m easy-going, not hard to understand and the business owner as well and I used to go in there all the time with the prior owners I’ve come in recently to the new owners and see that they are hard-working people and I really don’t think it’s their fault . BUT they help are the worst I’ve ever seen anywhere these people today they don’t understand instructions but when you asked the waitress to please put things on separate plates that’s what I expect otherwise, it’s like feeding a dog everything in one bowl I might’ve well has put have put my coffee and water in a bowl and started to lick it. When I asked for a container, I’ll take it with me so I could do exactly that give it to my dogs. This waitress I had must’ve been born by a phone. She takes a container put it next to me and I asked what is that for . She had looked at me like I was crazy in which I’m not I said why can’t you do it? Why do I Gotta make a bigger mess she said we don’t do that so I had said do what we don’t put the food in containers I looked at her I said nothing. I asked for my check I paid it. I did leave her a tip because I’m not gonna do that because maybe she just doesn’t know how to act around human beings anyway, I never think you should like this with the older people that were there. It’s just a shame it looks like it’s a place that’s gonna go downhill quickly, unless the owner steps in and straighten things out. And one more thing I did not give the food store thing I...
