I brought my 16 year old son to the Minute Clinic there today to get his physical clearance to bowl on the Jackson Memorial High School team again this year, as he has done for the past 2 years. The attending nurse practitioner was very slow and had three other patients (besides my son) waiting who were clearly irritated (she left the office two times and was gone for several minutes). When she finished with a patient and called the next one in line she called from her seat at her desk from behind a half closed door, not bothering to at least get up and make an appearance anywhere near the entrance to the lobby. Those of us who were waiting could not even make out the name she was calling so no one went in until she FINALLY stuck her head around the door and we were finally able to discern who's name she was calling. Over an hour and a half later she finally called my son's name (again from her seat in the exam room from behind a half closed door). The minute we went in she stated that she was a nurse practitioner and that it would cost $69 it of pocket for the exam. I said that was fine. Then her next words were, "I see you have answered 'yes' to some of these medical history questions, especially for head trauma. Depending on your explanation I will probably not clear him for bowling. Do you still want this exam?" So I explained to her that he was in a near fatal accident when he was 9 years old but that it happened 7 years ago and he survived and has long since been cleared by his neurosurgeon and regular pediatrician to participate on the bowling team and has been on the team for 2 years now. After my explanation, she said, "Again. Do you still want to pay for this exam, as I will probably not clear him for this physical." That was it for me. I just gathered the school forms from the exam table and we left. I see now that it would have been easier to make a regular doctor's appointment. The Minute Clinic was supposedly more convenient... I will never go back there again.

Read moreCVS is providing "home collection kits", they just provide instructions and watch you do it. Covid-19 RT-PCR Test is at the top of the paper they give you for instructions. The bottom says "this home collection kit has not been FDA cleared it approved". It also says "this home collection kit has been authorized by FDA under EUA.... Then further it says "this home collection kit has been authorized only for the home collection and maintenance of nasal swab specimens as an aid in detecting...". Like many tests, positives are pretty certain, negatives can easily be false. I had a real funny feeling after giving myself the test on their drive thru. I drove straight from there to an urgent Care clinic and got a rapid test. I was covid positive. I waited 3 days for results (which you have to create an account in order to access results - they said results by email, a lie). My results from CVS were negative. I'm glad I went and got a real test administered by a professional. All of this to say, don't trust a negative result of you've been exposed or feel sick. That's true of any test, rapid or not. This is a naat (nucleic acid amplification test) which is supposed to be the better lab test. The fact that this is for self administering, I...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience. Most of the pharmacy staff are the worst. I had gotten multiple notifications that i had medications that were not covered by my insurance. The pharmacy staff i had spoken with over the phone had no clue -- he told me the wrong medication that i needed was uncovered and would cost of $150, he informed me that the other medication they didnt have and i would need to call other locations to find it myself, there was a device out of stock too but I had a temporary option for this so it wasn't the end of the world. But the kicker was, the first two of these medications were the most important out of what i needed.
I called my insurance and they said that all the info i received was wrong. When i brought to the attention of the pharmacy manager, he didnt care and made me go on line to drop off. No compassion, not a care. Next month, I'll be using a different pharmacy chain all together. If i could give 0 stars, I would. Also the restroom wasn't very clean and there...
