My husband placed 2 pantrout dinner orders and added okra around 2:15. He was told it was going to take 50 mins for the order to be ready. He arrived around 3:05, and the order wasn’t ready. The order wasn’t ready until 4:12. When he made it home with our dinner it was small cut up pieces of pantrout. The fish was hard and overcooked. The salad was shredded lettuce with nothing on it. This was a bad experience for me. November 27, 2024

We ordered 4 plates. Each plate came with four pieces of catfish filets, fries, salad, and two pieces of lite bread. Total came to $68 The food was great. We had a wait time of 50 mins because they were packed...business was booming. Every time a car pulled off another one took its place. (sorry I forgot to take a pic of food but I will be going back, we started eating soon as we got home)

My husband, who grew up in Jackson, took me to Valley Street Fish House for dinner. I didn't know what to expect because the aging facade of the building does not accurately reflect the quality of the food. We both ordered the catfish. The lady who took our order was polite and efficient. The food was hot and good. We will be back soon!

I absolutely love Valley St Fish, when I have a fish craving this is my go to place. The only thing I dislike is that this place has probably been in business since before I was born and they have don’t no upgrades to the building or parking. You would think with all these centuries of being in business they would make some improvements to the place. You also have to have life insurance to park and cross the street to get to the building as traffic is horrendous. Other than this it’s the best fish place...
