Jackson State University Campus Store — Local services in Jackson

I was charged for a rented textbook today. Immediately called once I saw the charge and specifically asked to speak with a manager. Was told that "he" was busy and was reassured she could help me. So I told her my situation and she said that I could bring my textbook in and get a full refund. She even apologized for the inconvenience. I left my job, drove to the bookstore only to be told by a gentleman in the back that I could only sale my book back for $30 and that's only if they are using it next semester. When asked if I could finally speak to manager, he tells me that she is in a meeting and wont be out for 45 mins. Walking out the store, the "manager" stopped me and asked if everything was okay... I couldn't believe it! I was told that the Indian lady I had spoken to originally didn't know that I couldn't get a refund. This IS NOT OKAY. Jackson State University is an amazing school filled with exceptional faculty and students. I'm from Chicago and drove my Lady and her daughter down for enrollment and check in. What should have been a quick and orderly experience turned into a frustrating 2 day event. Not on JSU but on financial aid. There were so many experiencing this frustration in one or the other due to some type of registration issue. The staff went out the way to help, even to the point of working beyond their shifts to help with issues. One young lady, I should have got her name, went to the furthest level to help by going to get a copy of some financial aid forms we needed. I give this...
