China 99 — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I live down the street so this is my go-to for Chinese. Or it was. I work 6 days a week and for about two years, I ordered dinner on the way home every Saturday. The same order every weekend for about a year and a half with very few exceptions. However, about a year ago something changed. The person answering the phone and taking orders changed and my order was wrong almost every time I picked up. It became so frustrating that I would unpack the bag before I left to make sure that I had the right food. With prices going up, I stopped ordering every weekend and now it's a once a month treat, but my order hasn't changed. And almost every time, it's wrong. Tonight it was the most wrong it has every been and as much as I enjoy the food, which is good when I finally get what I order, I am ready to break up with China 99. The service here is fairly friendly. The food is pretty good, but they have gotten stingy with the roast pork. Update: I have had to adjust my review to include my current experience. They have not only raised the prices of their items, but also reduced the amount of food they are serving you. I understand there is a supply shortage, do one or the other not both. As I was looking at the receipt, I saw that they also charged me for using my credit card. They do not tell you there is a fee to use your credit card. I would have paid cash had I known. Can you give 10 stars? When I got my food it was steaming hot, I ordered from Uber eats so this is not something that I'm used to. I added a note for the delivery driver that said please no vegetables in my zechuan chicken and I didn't even think the restaurant would see it but they did and they followed it. The french fries were so crispy. The rice was freaking awesome. They even put vegetables inside of my sesame chicken which is not something that I'm used to when I asked for no vegetables and another dish. I'm just so happy right now I actually didn't even wait for ubereats to ask for my review but I went ahead and did a review of myself.
