Check Your Transactions : Last month I ordered food from the China Wok at the corner of Wilson Blvd. and Lane Avenue. A few minutes later. I went and picked my order and I paid $24.00 with my bank card. Before I got back home, I received notice from the bank about my purchase because I had set this up with the bank to inform me anytime my card was used. Before I could finish eating the food, I received another message from the bank which stated that the card I had used to pay for the Chinese food was used three times in attempts to make a Grub Hub purchase of $89.00. I returned to the China Wok to explain what had happened but the young man, pictured here shrugged it off like it was nothing. He said he knew nothing about the fraudulent purchases. I therefore encourage everyone who uses a bank card to purchase food to go over their recent charges on their credit or debit cards and look for Unknown charges on the same day, and within minutes of paying for food at the China Wok. Also have the bank send alerts every time your cards are used anywhere. It is a free service and it helps to keep track of double swiping of your bank cards. This is a public service message. Thanks. The young man whom I saw growing up and doing his homework on the store has become rude and disrespectful since he too over the restaurant. He called me regarded when I told him about the attempt to include...
Read moreWe give up after 2 1/2 years. The food is inconsistent. One time out of 10 it will be great, then 9 times of wasted money and aggravation. Egg Foo young is burnt on the outside and raw inside, soaking in grease. The gravy goes from very good to so salty it is inedible. The fried rice has an awful after taste of fish or oyster sauce. French fries are good unless they are too busy, then they use the same fryer that meat goes into which makes them absolutely gross. Make sure they don't cheat you on the white rice if you have multiple dishes, they will give you one little container for 2 large orders. Things like this go on and on with just about all their dishes. Make sure you don't order in the last hour they are open, food will be cold as they obviously turn everything off way ahead of time I.E. you will get pre-fried chicken that has been sitting then dunked in semi warm oil again to "heat" it up. If they want to close a hour earlier then they should just do it instead of cheating people. We will travel a bit further for better quality food...
Read moreChina wok is Family owned restaurant.. With Very tasty food! They will always tell you it will take 45 minutes for delivery, slow or busy. 45 minutes is just an estimated time for their deliveries. On busy nights Thursday's-Sunday if you want a delivery just ask them how busy they are... If u call and the phone is busy then the china wok is most likely very busy too. Ive worked as a delivery driver for the China wok, Ive seen them tell customers 45 minutes for a delivery but their so busy your food might not be cooked until after 45 minutes. Just know that if you order delivery your food will always be fresh no matter the time it took to get you your order.. Keep in mind your not the only one ordering food and the driver is speeding to get you your food, so remember to tip your driver for their services. I recommend their steak n cheese egg rolls, house lo mein no celery or bamboo shoots, their chicken or beef n broccoli is so good. Also if you want something special they cater to you.
