J'Ville Crab Shack — Restaurant in Jacksonville

Now they charge you extra if you use a card and don't tell you! My total was $31.14 so I put that much on my cash app card to pay. The cashier gave me my card back and said it was declined. I said how and was told "oh it's $32.08 now because you're paying with a card but with cash there wouldn't be any extra charge. I'm like so you were gonna charge me a fee and not tell me before running my card?! That's horrible business. I don't fault the cashier because she was young and told me she was new but management needs to do better!

We're in a whole pandemic still and there's a change shortage so most people don't use cash right now so they're going to see more debit\credit...

I ordered through DoorDash thinking I found a gem of a place. Please avoid this place if you’re looking for quality seafood. You might as well have gone to Captain D’s. I ordered 2 sides of crab cakes and the garlic shrimp combo. The shrimps were tiny and rubbery. There was supposed to be a sausage with my combo, but they left that out. There was barely any flavor on the seafood as well. The crab cakes were a huge disappointment. I guess it’s my fault for expecting them to use actual crab meat for the price, but they were made with imitation krab meat. Gross. That should’ve been clarified on the menu. I won’t be ordering from here again...

We use to come here about 2-3 times a week spending over $20 each time. I ALWAYS had a great experience until last night when the guy wanted to charge me for ketchup!! YES, ketchup! I would have understood if it was ranch, sweet and tangy, or some sauce, but to charge for ketchup for my fries and chicken tenders??!! You can walk into McDonald's and grab ketchup (even if you didn't order food) They must be going out of business or something. That's just poor buisness! Their loss over a ketchup. Something you'd think would come with a meal that...
