Lets taco about tacos at Taqueria Hernandez! If you're looking for an awesome and tasty taco Tuesday outing I highly recommend trying this little food truck out. It's a bit hidden I use the red benches as my landmark point to make sure I don't miss it. There's plenty of parking and seating available and I'm not sure if any of them speak English, but if you plan on going make sure to bring someone with you who knows Spanish or if you're comfortable ordering in Spanish that works too. Down to the tacos ... The chicken and beef tacos are served fresh and the food is authentic... good food trucks like this one are really hard to come by and find and as you can see from the reviews below there's a lot of love for this truck. But at the end of the day my favorite is the chicken quesadilla which is loaded with cheese and tons of flavors that will make you wanting more. I think I may have overate from my last visit but oh it was so worth it to finally try out the tacos and quesadilla from this incredible food truck. And don't forget about the hot green sauce too! Went there 3/30/2019 around @6p for tacos with mom. Ordered 4 tacos @2.50+tax= 2.67 x 4 = &10.68 (3 steak, 1 chicken) 2 chicken tamales @$2.00+tax = $2.14 x 2 =$4.28 , & and a [Mexican pineapple soda] @$2.00+tax=$2.14 for $21.50 not realizing they overcharged me until moments later after taking payment the young lady says they only have pork tamales. Well mom doesn’t eat pork so we asked for 2 chicken tacos instead. Shortly thereafter she asks for an additional $1.50. So now i start calculating all the food on my calculator and everything adds up to $17.10. Not only did she over charge me but she wanted me to pay more for the miscommunication on her end. So with that being said i requested the full amount and the other lady stepped in trying to convince us to that the reason our food was $21.50 is because she charged us for 5 steak tacos and 1 chicken taco. At this point Im confused because of the language barrier and i asked my mom to step in, at the point she began to argue with mom and I and I just wanted my money back. I thought the food was excellent. The red sauce on top of my poblano stuffed with cheese had such a fresh tomato flavor, I enjoyed EVERY bit of it. The beans are not fully pureed like many other places do, so these were BETTER than average! The staff, like another review stated, do not speak fluent English, but they have many items with photos and English descriptions. We didn't experience language issues though because my husband can speak Spanish. The staff were very friendly and the service was very quick and accurate. I didn't give a 5 star because my husband wanted a dish from the menu, but they were out of ingredients for it. He was a "eh, it was ok" review. That and the decor. It's just a basic strip-mall restaurant with metal chairs and plain tables. This could be a little gem hidden in the neighborhood. We are minutes away, so will enjoy coming...
