Formerly, this establishment served as the preferred dining venue for both my partner and me, offering a comfortable and familiar environment. Regrettably, after a recent experience, my inclination to recommend this establishment for Sunday dining has diminished. Despite our initial inclination to support local businesses by placing a substantial order totaling $100, our experience was notably unsatisfactory. The preparation time for the three ordered plates extended to an excessive 2 hours and 30 minutes, during which we received no communication, either via text or phone call, regarding the status of our order. Moreover, when seeking updates, the attendant appeared less attentive than usual.
It is my earnest suggestion that the establishment refrain from accepting additional orders when faced with a backlog exceeding 10 orders within an hour. After persistently inquiring about the anticipated wait time, the attendant eventually presented us with food that appeared to have been awaiting dispatch for an extended duration. Upon reaching home, which is situated 40 minutes away, we discovered that our order was entirely incorrect, indicating a mix-up with another person's meal. This raises concerns about the thoroughness of food preparation and order management.
Of particular concern is the inclusion of shrimp, to which I am severely allergic, in one of the plates. This oversight could have had severe consequences given my anaphylactic allergy, and it is disconcerting that despite consistently communicating this allergy during prior visits, it was not taken into account. Attempts to address this issue through messaging and calls to the establishment have gone unanswered even after a two-week period. This lack of responsiveness raises questions about the establishment's commitment to customer service beyond transactional interactions.
In conclusion, it appears that the primary focus may be on transactional efficiency rather than ensuring the quality of service and adherence to customer preferences.
UPDATE: I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a matter of concern that I believe requires prompt and thoughtful resolution. Two weeks after the incident, I took the time to compose a comprehensive review of my experience. Regrettably, my attempts to communicate directly with your establishment via calls and text messages were met with no response. Consequently, I felt compelled to express my concerns through an online review as a means to capture your attention. I want to emphasize that my intention is not to disparage your business but rather to address the perceived lack of responsiveness to customer inquiries. As a regular and loyal patron, I found your recent reply to be disconcerting and, frankly, impolite. I have consistently demonstrated my commitment as a customer, and it is disheartening to encounter such dismissive communication. Additionally, I must underscore the importance of allergy awareness. I have a severe anaphylactic allergy to seafood, a condition that I have conscientiously communicated on multiple occasions. It is imperative to recognize the gravity of this situation, as exposure to seafood in any form poses an imminent threat to my life. In your future responses, I kindly request that you thoroughly read and consider the content before...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve seen Rich food all over my Facebook and I couldnāt wait to come to Jacksonville and try it. I called to place my order to go and he asked me to text it. He was extremely professional on the phone and in person but I wasnāt a fan of texting my order(not the most professional way to take an order). I asked a lot of questions and he answered them all without being offended. I was offered a sample of the tuna w/o even asking for it, which was good and I ended up purchasing. Rich even let me taste the apple pie dessert and said I didnāt have to buy it if I didnāt like it. I thought was nice and I purchased it even though Iām not a fan of sweets. After checking my (text) order I realized a mistake on the wing sauce and he corrected it and allowed me to keep the other order. Iāve been at large chain restaurants and they will ask for the wrong order back before they allow you to keep it. My fav as the ārich sauceā wings and the macaroni. My mom said the lemon pepper wings was 6/10 because it was a little too dry for her even with the request of them being āwetā. Overall the customer service took it from a 4/5 to a 5/5. I will try other menu items when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was my 2nd visit to Rich Taste Food Truck, (sits off Lem Turner Rd./Broward Rd). Ordered a 6 piece fried wing dinner w/ macaroni and cheese/ baked beans. I also ordered an additional side- the dirty rice. For some reason, I thought it was called oxtail rice? The drumettes and/or wings, had no taste, whatsoever. They were beyond bland w/ mounds of pure fat. The macaroni and cheese was God Awful! It was mushy with globs of cheese, basically. There were also ācold spotsā in the mac/ cheese, it didnāt taste freshly prepared whatsoever. The baked beans were awesome! I wasnāt raving either over the dirty rice but to each his own⦠I guess I just caught them on a "bad day" because the fried shrimp dinner I ordered on my 1st visit, was perfectly cooked and seasoned and were a pretty good size!! However for a charge of $24.00 today, I will pass on the chicken and mac/cheese, unless someone is sponsoring me. Overall, I think theyāre good but yesterday they were slipping.. can't speak for anybody else's meal but that was...
