I drive by this place a lot. I saw it was under new management they painted the building and changed the name. I went in and they had a lot of good choices. I decided to just get a 3 piece with fries. I also picked up a key lime cake. The chicken looked nice and was hot but it didn't really have any flavor despite the powery flavoring they put on it. The skin was crispy but it lacked flavor! And it really was not meaty. I felt like it was a waste of my money. The key lime cake didn't taste anything like key lime. It was a bit dense. The icing was good tho. My daughter got a strawberry cake which had a better texture and was a lot lighter. She ordered a crab cake that came with fries and tho the flavors were good it was imitation crab meat that was more dough than imitation crab. I would not go back. I’m definitely a harsh food critic. I rode by here many times and never considered stopping…not the best area or outside appearance. Was wanting some seafood at 10pm and they were open. Read the reviews and decided to give them a try. Glad I did. Don’t let the outside stop you from going here. I got the fish, shrimp and chicken with fries. It all was really good. The seasoning was on point. I also appreciate that I can tell they don’t reuse the same grease. It definitely tastes fresh. There will be a long wait. So worth it for fresh food. My husband and I came into Jacksonville for a delivery and needed something to eat. Looked up food near me and this place stuck out. Got chicken gizzards, wings, and some whiting and was NOT disappointed. The amount given and for the price I was very pleased. Hands down the best gizzards we have ever had. So good we returned a week later all the way from MD and the guy remembered us and was very thankful for the returning customer. He even helped my husband carry food to the truck!!
