Decided to try this place out for its soft opening and what a wonderful addition to Arlington it is. Beautifully decorated inside with great vibes. The bar is stunning and while we didn’t go to the other side, it looks like there was a nice hang out area with comfy chairs vs the dining area. For food and drink- we got a regular beer and seasonal cider which were enjoyable. The pimento cheese jalapeños wrapped in prosciutto were good, and the pimento and sauce really offset the jalapeños. Our main entrees - I got the Italian, which was fairly good, different taste with balsamic sauce. He got the Cuban which he enjoyed. Both were different in that they seemed to come on pressed hot dog buns vs sub bread. I liked it though! We’ll definitely come again and try some more things!

My husband and I tried out The Lazy Manatee for the first time. I had their Cabernet (next time trying the one from Lebanon) and the chicken pesto flatbread (delicious). My husband had the tropical hopslam from Bell’s Brewing and Indica IPA from Lost Coast Brewing along with the pimento cheese stuffed jalapeños. He loved the hot honey and prosciutto combo with the pimento cheese. I’d give 10 stars if Google would let me. This is exactly what this area of town needed! They have beer and wine and seltzers along with a limited food menu (but honestly who needs 20 page food menu… on a Monday evening my mind breaks down with too many choices) that’s just the right amount of variations. Go give The Lazy Manatee and try!

Opening night and could not be more impressed. Beer selection, food and service were outstanding. Much needed for Arlington and thrilled they are literally spitting distance from our house.

The Lazy Manatee opened their doors finally and we went in this afternoon to check them out. I ordered The PHX Nachos and added the green chili pork to them. These were so good, my husband and I devoured them and cleaned the plate! Hubby ordered a Sonoran Dog that came with chips and a pickle. That was inhaled pretty quickly as well. I took a photo, blinked, and it was gone. The 2 of us both had 2 drinks from their extensive beer menu.

They've got multiple tvs in there for watching the games and enjoying good company. One side of the place is the sit down bar and restaurant area, and the other sides has that kicked back, lounge vibe with bookshelves filled with books and games.

Two gender neutral / family restrooms, both equipped with fully decked out changing table for both moms and dad's to be able to utilize.

This place is beautiful, warm, and welcoming. I hope they last quite some time because they are a great addition to not just the Arlington area, but Jacksonville as a whole.
